Eligibility Criteria
All entrants must be Male with a valid International Handicap of 4.4 or better, as of 15th November 2018.
Note:
Once the closing date is reached, the field of players will be finalised with the top 72 players receiving a place in the Championship. The remaining number of entrants will be put on a waiting list with the player with the lowest handicap acting as 1st reserve and so on.
Conditions of Play
- The Abu Dhabi Amateur Championship will be a 54 Hole Individual Strokeplay Tournament at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.
- Play will be in four balls starting from the 1st Tee
- The Male Amateur who has the lowest accumulative gross score, over the three Tournament Rounds, will be named the 2018 Abu Dhabi Amateur Champion.
- In the event of a tie of two or more players for first place, the tie shall be settled by a 3hole Strokeplay playoff. If a tie remains after the playoff, a sudden death playoff will occur on the 18th Hole until a final result is achieved.
- The Championship will be run in accordance with the R&A Rules of Golf combined with the local rules of Saadiyat Beach Golf Club. The Tournament Committee may implement Tournament specific rules in line with the R&A Rules of Golf. These will be communicated before play commences on Monday 17th December 2018.
- All competitors must only use confirming golf balls that are listed on the list of conforming golf balls, throughout the Tournament.
Caddies
- Competitors are allowed to bring their own caddies however a fee of AED 85 will be charged for an extra Golf Cart if the caddy wishes to join their player in the cart.
- If the Caddy wishes to walk, no fees will be charged.
