Thursday, October 11 – 18-hole qualifier

 

Groupings & Starting Times

Starting times begin at 8:30 a.m.

 

Practice Round

Practice rounds are available to those competitors in the qualifier. Contact the Golf Shop for further information.

There are numerous hotels in the area with a variety of rates.  To find what best suites your needs look online at  www.tripadvisor.com then select accommodations in the Fayette County area.

 

NO Registration 

At the starting tees, the Notice to Competitors, Hole Location sheet and Pace of Play Policy will be available. Important:  Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time.  There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

 

Food & Beverage:

The golf course will have food and beverage services available. Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the facility.   

 

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play.  This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf.  Local Rules of the host course do not apply.  Golf House Kentucky Rules Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions.  Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-19 Rules of Golf book.  Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  2 Strokes.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

The USGA DOES permit the use of distance-measuring devices for its championships.

 

Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:

This qualifying site uses the Golf House Kentucky Pace of Play Guidelines. Please review the pace of play guidelines and procedures prior to starting your round.

 

Player/Caddie Carts:

Golf carts are not permitted.  Pull/Push carts are allowed for the qualifier. 

 

Spectator Carts

USGA policy does not permit spectator carts.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie.

 

Practice Range:

The practice range opens one hour before the first starting time weather permitting.  Purchase of range balls are the responsibility of each contestant.

 

Qualifying Positions:

Number of qualifying spots (1 side).  

 

Play-off:

In the event of a tie for the last qualifying place or the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off.  The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier.

 

Withdrawals: 

Please contact the USGA if you need to withdraw.  If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on October 10, please call (502) 649-7980 and leave a message on the voicemail.

 

Attire & Conduct:

Proper golf attire is required.

 

Close of Competition:

The qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
