Registration 

There will not be a registration table. ($20) skins will be collected on the 1st tee.

Important:  Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time.  There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

 

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play.  This information sheet, the Golf House Kentucky hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf.  Local Rules of the host course do not apply.  The Golf House Kentucky Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions.  Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-19 Rules of Golf book.  Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  2 Strokes.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

A player may obtain distance information by using a distance measuring device.  If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance-measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his play (e.g., gradient, wind-speed, temperature, etc.), the player is in breach of Rule 14-3.  Penalty for Breach of Condition:  Disqualification

 

Grooves and Punch Marks Policy:

The PGA of America has adopted the Condition of Competition at the PGA Section level (qualifying stages) for this event. The player’s clubs must conform to the groove and punch mark specifications in the Rules of Golf that are effective January 1, 2010. All players must comply with this Condition of Competition. It is the responsibility of the player to check the conformity of his/her equipment prior to the competition.

 

Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:

The KPGA uses a pace of play guideline that is available as a separate form.

 

Player/Caddie Carts:

Golf carts are provided for all players. Pull/Push carts are allowed, if preferred. 

 

Practice Range:

The practice range opens at least one hour prior to the first starting time, weather permitting.  Range balls are complimentary for competitors.

 

Qualifying Positions:

The low four (4) scores will advance to the 52nd PGA Professional Championship, being contested April 28-May 1, 2019 at Belfair in Bluffton, South Carolina. Three alternate positions will also be determined.

 

Play-off:

In the event of a tie for first place in the championship or for the last qualifying spot, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off.  The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier. 

 

Close of Competition:

The competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
