Welcome to the 2025 San Francisco City Championship, presented by Cobra Golf and Fujikura. The Open Flights competition has long been an important part of the rich tradition of "The City," and this year is no different. Below is some important information for players:
SCHEDULE (OPEN QUALIFYING)
Contestants will play an 18-hole qualifying round at Lincoln Park Golf Course on March 6, 2025. The OPEN qualifying scores will be used to assign flights of 16 players each, as well as the seeding for match play. In the case of ties, there will be a card-off to determine who advances to play in each flight. The card-off tiebreakers will be: holes 10-18, then if still tied holes 13-18, then holes 16-18, then hole 18. If there is not a perfect group of 16, it is possible the last flight will contain less than 16 or you may have a bye for your first round match.
Flights will play their first-round matches on Sat Mar 15 and second-round matches on Sun Mar 16.
Qualifying and the first two Open Match Flight rounds will be played at Lincoln Park Golf Course. The semifinal and final rounds will be played at TPC Harding Park.

SCORING
All scoring will be electronic using Golf Genius. We encourage you to download the app if you don't already have it. Each group will be given a unique GGID to use when entering scores, which we will verify at the scoring table after the round.
On each hole of the (OPEN FLIGHTS ONLY) stroke play qualifier only, per Rule 21.2, there will be a maximum score of triple bogey (+3) on any hole. If your next shot on a hole is for triple bogey, please pick up and record triple bogey for your score.
SCORE POSTING
We will post scores to GHIN for all rounds.
PRACTICE
Practice rounds are not included in the tournament entry fee, and players must contact the golf course to arrange a practice round. Practice rounds are available at both courses and are subject to greens fee rates on each course's website.
The practice areas at TPC Harding Park will open at 6:45 am on all tournament days. Lincoln Park does not have a dedicated driving range.
CADDIES/TRANSPORTATION
The use of carts is optional, and players may walk, use a push/pull cart, have a caddie, or ride in a golf cart. Contestants wanting to use a golf cart will be charged the appropriate fees posted at each golf course. Golf carts will be subject to course conditions at the time of play, i.e., cart path only, 90-degree rule, etc.
