TURKEY SHOOT 2025

 

Sunday, November 23rd, 2025 - (12:00 P.M. Shotgun)

 

FORMAT: Our annual Turkey Shoot is a 2-man scramble with a twist!  Each player is to select three clubs each (putter is optional!) and can only play with those three clubs the entire round.  Teams will be handicapped as such - 40% of the A player's handicap plus 20% of the B player's handicap.  A valid and active USGA Handicap is required to be eligible for handicapped events, without a USGA handicap you will play as scratch.

 

RULES:

• All USGA Rules apply.  All putts must be holed - no gimmies!
• Scramble rules - both players may move ball a club length through the green - must stay in same condition (rough must stay in rough for example).
• Red stakes & lines indicated penalty areas.  If no markings, consider the hazard indication line to be a club length from the edge.
• White stakes & roads indicate areas that are out of bounds.
• All mulched areas are also granted free relief.
• We will be adopting the USGA recommended local rule for Out of Bounds / Lost Balls.  If a ball goes out of play, you may take a 2-stroke penalty drop on the edge of the fairway equidistant to the point where the ball went out of play.  This is an alternative option to going back and replaying your shot with a penalty stroke (stroke & distance).

 

PAYOUT INFORMATION:

1/3rd of the field (or roughly) will be paid out in gift cards.  2/3rds of the prize pool will go to net, 1/3rd will go to gross.  In the event that an odd number of teams must be paid out, net will take precedent.

 

An option skins game of $20 per team will also be played - this will be in the form of team skins.  We will be utilizing our House Rules for this tournament's skins game.

 

SKINS RULES:

 

• Net birdies or better to win a skin.
• Skins will be net, handicapped to the same number as your team's playing handicap
