Event Overview 

 

 

Registration Opens: April 1 at 9 a.m.

 

Registration Closes: July 3 at 5:00 p.m. 

 

Registration Fee: $195 per amateur and $245 per professional (range fees, lunches and prizes)

July 31 - Hanover Country Club

 

 

Format: 54 holes, individual stroke play. There will be a cut to the low 40 players and ties following the second round. Players will be re-paired based on their 36-hole score.

 

Eligibility: Open to male players who are members of a PAGA Member Club or PAGA Individual Members who are residents of the State of Pennsylvania. Amateurs must have a USGA Handicap Index of 7.4 or lower. Professionals that are employed at PAGA member clubs do not need to reside in Pennsylvania to be eligible. 

 

Field: Limited to approximately 120 players.  The field will be composed of exempt players in addition to players that have qualified at a sectional qualifying site. Number of qualifiers at each site will be determined once registration has closed.

 

Cart/Caddie: Automotive transportation is prohibited. Players must walk and carry their bag or have their bag carried via a caddie. Push carts are allowed.

 

Food & Beverage: A lunch buffet will be provided each day of competition from approximately 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is included in the entry fee. Additional F&B purchases will be available.

 

Practice Rounds: Practice rounds are available at Llanerch Country Club for Open Championship Players on XXXX The practice round rate is set at $xxx per player. Carts are required for the practice round.

 

Hotel: TBD 

 

Pairings: Players will be in threesomes in 11 minute intervals. Pairings for the final round will be determined by players’ 36-hole score.

 

Start Times: The PAGA staff, following as closely as practical the preferences indicated on the entry form will determine pairings and tee times.

 

Ties: In the event of a tie for the Championship, a sudden-death playoff will be held immediately following the conclusion of play.

 

Prizes: The player returning the lowest 54-hole score will be awarded the title of Open Champion and have his name engraved on the Arnold Palmer Trophy. Prizes will be awarded to the top six amateurs with the lowest scores. First place prize money: TBD

Weather: Should weather delay play beyond the end of the second day, the competition will not be extended, and the championship will be shortened to 36 holes.
