FORMAT
The tournament will consist of 36-holes of Pinehurst stroke play (both gross and net). In Pinehurst, two players play as partners, each partner plays from the teeing ground and plays the partners ball for the second shot. After the second shot, partners select the ball with which they wish to score and play that ball alternately to complete the hole.

 

FIELD SIZE
Limited to 54 sides (108 players).

DIVISIONS
All sides will compete in both Gross and Net Divisions.

 

FLIGHTS
Flights will be created in advance, within the Net Division, based on team Playing Handicap. 

 

PRIZES
Net: Overall Low Net: Pewter cup awards; Flight Winners: Photo frame awards; Merchandise: Top third in each flight.
Gross: Overall Low Gross: Trophy plates.

 

ELIGIBILITY
Entrant must be a member of NWAGA. Entrant must also be a resident of Nebraska (see below) with an up-to-date USGA Handicap Index® issued by a “member club” of the Nebraska Golf Association. All players must conform to the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by the United States Golf Association and The R&A.

 

An individual is considered a resident of Nebraska if they: a) maintain either a primary or a secondary residence in Nebraska, or b) are an active duty member of the United States Military stationed in Nebraska, or c) are a student physically attending college in Nebraska within a time period four-months prior to the event, or d) are a graduate of a Nebraska high school attending an out-of-state college. If these criteria are in question, the NWAGA Tournament Committee shall render any final decision.

 

Handicaps: The NWAGA Handicap Committee requires that all participants in NWAGA tournaments have a minimum of 10 acceptable scores posted within 12 months of the registration deadline. 


ENTRIES: FORM, FEE, CLOSING DATE
All sides must file an online entry application. Entry fee of $260 must be paid by every side. Entry fee will be refunded regardless of reason if NWAGA is notified (402-505-4653, ext. 102 or via e-mail at nwaga@nebgolf.org) before the close of entries. After the close of entries, fee will be refunded in the event of medical condition, if requested before the first day of competition. No refund for any reason after that day. A $30 service charge will be deducted from all refunds. Entry includes 36-holes of competition; cart; prizes; player meal and awards luncheon.

 

Entries open at 8:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday, April 1, 2025. Entries must be received by NWAGA no later than 5:00 p.m. CDT on Monday, May 12, 2025. If the competition receives more than the maximum number of entries by 12:00 p.m. CDT on April 1, a drawing will be used to determine the field and wait list order. If the tournament does not receive more than the maximum number of entries by 12:00 p.m. CDT on April 1, the field will be determined by order of entry. Entries may be accepted after the deadline, if field is not full, at the discretion of NWAGA. Partner substitutions may be made prior to competition.


HANDICAP ALLOWANCE
Based on May 15 Handicap Revision. 60% of the lower player’s Course Handicap and 40% of the higher player’s Course Handicap determine a side’s Playing Handicap. The maximum handicap index permitted for this event is 40.4. Golfers whose handicap index exceeds 40.4 will be reduced to the 40.4 maximum.

 

PAIRINGS
A side’s Playing Handicap will determine round one shotgun starting position with the lowest Playing Handicaps starting on hole 1. Round two shotgun starting position will be determined by round one net score with the lowest scores starting on hole 1.

 

CADDIES
Caddies are not permitted.

 

PERSONAL APPEARANCE & FOOTWEAR
Players must be neat in appearance with respect to clothing and personal grooming. Traditional spikes are prohibited. Model Local Rule G-7.

 

DETERMINING TIES
Ties for first place within a division or flight will be broken by scorecard playoff using the USGA method of comparing scores.

 

POSTING SCORES
Scores from this event are not eligible for posting purposes.


DIGITAL SCORING
It is required that one individual in each group enter hole scores following each hole using the Golf Genius mobile app. Instructions for downloading the app will be included in pre-event material provided to players following the deadline.

 

FOOD ALLERGIES 
Participates with food allergies or special dietary needs are responsible for contacting the club to arrange any accommodation.
