LPGA Amateurs Ontario Scramble Open

May 31 & June 1, 2025

Event Overview

This is a 4-person team event in Scramble format held at Hockley Valley Resort.  Come on out and have fun in this no-pressure, team-oriented event designed to get you out mixing and making new golfing friends from multiple chapters.  By very popular demand, we are now featuring a shotgun start, on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday morning, which maximizes the opportunity to socialize!!

2 days of play + 1 post-round dinner reception on Saturday + exclusive player gift = lots of fun!

Exclusive!  The players gift is an LPGA Amateurs logoed golf shirt custom-designed for us by Kandy Golf.  Register by February 28 to guarantee your preferred shirt size will be available by May 31st!  (** important to read the Registration Instructions to order the correct shirt.  Sizing chart on Shirt Info page)

Awards & Prizes:

  • The 2025 Ontario Scramble Open Champions will be the Overall Low Net score from the field.
  • Awards to the top three Low Net teams (competitive division only)
  • Lots of on-course games!

Dinner Reception - Post-round reception on Saturday to be held at the Hockley Valley Resort.  A scrumptious dinner will be served while you enjoy the company of friends new and old.  Please indicate any dietary restrictions at registration.

Make it a girls weekend!  Enjoy the convenience of staying overnight in the resort, which includes breakfast prior to the 9:00am shotgun start on Sunday morning.  A discounted rate on guestrooms is available until April 30.

Each team must have at least one member of any LPGA Amateurs Chapter.  Bring a friend to introduce them to LPGA Amateurs, and just enjoy the company of fellow women golfers!  Both competitive and just-for-fun divisions are offered, so choose what makes you happiest.

* In a "scramble" format, the team decide after each shot which one is the best shot. Each player on the team plays their next shot from that spot. The group then plays this way until the ball is holed out.

Registration Instructions

1) Register before February 28 to guarantee your choice of shirt size and style will be available by May 31st!  Later registrations will still receive the player gift, however the preferred shirt style may not be available or the shirt may not be available until after the event.

2) Verify information for each team member before registering.

  • Obtain the shirt size and style desired for each team member.  Shirts will NOT be able to be returned or exchanged.
    • Sizes:  XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL.  These shirts tend to run a little small, so check the sizing chart on the Shirt Info page.
    • Style: a) short-sleeved, or b) sleeveless
  • Obtain any dietary restrictions.

3) Register as a Team

  • The Team Captain will register their team, including listing all four team players.  There is no individual registration.
  • The team may be composed of any combination of Members and Guests (Non-Members).  Please note that US-based members must register using the Non-Member option, as our Golf Genius system only recognizes Canadian memberships.  Please add your LPGA Amateurs membership number and chapter so we know you are a member!
  • The team will be waitlisted until payment information is provided for all players, at that point the individual registration payments will be processed and the team will be moved from waitlisted to confirmed status. A team will not be considered registered until ALL players have paid their registration fees.

4) Include the Add-On fee for the number of players attending the Dinner Reception

  • Select the number of players (0 - 4) who will be attending the reception.
  • The total fee for the reception will be split equally across all team members if split payment option is chosen.  This means all players will get charged a portion, even if not all 4 are attending!  If this is problematic, a manual payment for the dinner reception can be requested by emailing president@lpgaamateurscanada.ca

5) Split Payment to Each Team Member

  • The Team Captain registering the team will only need to pay for themselves, as they will have the option (click the split payment box to choose it!) to have the system send an email notification to each teammate to pay their own registration fees.
  • The team will be waitlisted until payment information is provided for all players, at that point the individual registration payments will be processed and the team will be moved from waitlisted to confirmed status. A team will not be considered registered until ALL players have paid their registration fees.

6) Cancellation & Substitutions

  • If a team withdraws from the competition prior to April 18, a 50% refund will be available; a full refund will only be available if the team's slot can be filled by another team. After April 18, there will be no refund. All refunds will be subject to an administration fee to cover any applicable fixed expenses.
  • Player substitutions on teams will be permitted until May 16.  Substitutions must be communicated to the Events Committee immediately.  If a player needs to withdraw after May 16 because of an emergency (eg. medical emergency or a death in the family), that player may, with the approval of the Events Committee, be replaced by a player whose handicap is within 8 strokes of the withdrawing player.
