About Betty Reynolds
Betty was born the fourth of seven children on May 22, 1951 in Medford, WI to the late Mildred Marie (Sailer) and Clyde Clement Schneider. She and Glenn were high school sweethearts at Jackson Memorial High School in Massillon, Ohio (graduated 1969) and married on September 2, 1972. She attended Akron University from 1969-1971, then withdrew to support Glenn’s education. Betty and Glenn welcomed the birth of their only son, Barry, on April 6, 1983 in Akron, Ohio. In 1987 they relocated to Fort Mill, S.C. for Glenn’s career and remained there until their deaths. Betty had a long and valued career as a highly skilled executive secretary.
An avid outdoors woman, Betty enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting, gardening, and foraging. She enjoyed cooking and baking often for her family and friends. Always willing to travel, she was often visiting and caring for her distant friends and family. Betty loved playing and promoting women’s golf and was a dedicated member of the Fort Mill Ladies Golf league. She volunteered her time as a rules official for the USGA and enthusiastically participated in many state tournaments. She will be remembered as a loving and faithful wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her.
