Since 1964, the GSWGA has been led by a dedicated group of volunteers serving as the Board of Directors. This leadership team ensures the organization's continued success and sustainability. We have devised our current governance structure to ensure a blend of continuity, fresh perspectives, and experienced leadership.

Board Structure
- Composition: Up to 16 Directors, including the Chairman of the Board.
- Term Length: Directors serve a three-year term and may be re-elected for one consecutive term.
- Re-Election Rules: After completing two consecutive terms, Directors must step down for at least one year before being eligible for nomination again.
Executive Committee
- Officers' Term: All officers serve a one-year term.
- Successive Terms: Officers may be re-elected for consecutive terms as long as they remain on the Board.
Chairman of the Board
- The retiring President automatically transitions to the position of Chairman of the Board, regardless of their tenure on the Board.
