ABOUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP

The Championship consists of 36 holes of stroke play on the day of competition.

 

The competitor with the lowest gross score will receive the George Stubbings Salver and be the Warwickshire Men's Amateur Champion for the year.

 

The champion will qualify to represent Warwickshire in the English Men's Champion of Champions event held at Woodhall Spa.

 

The competitor with the lowest gross score aged 35 and over on the day of competition will receive the Robert Harrison Trophy.

 

Where clubs have three or more players in the field they can enter the Warwickshire Team Championship.  The nominated team of 3 players with the lowest combined gross score on the day will be the Men's Champion Club for the year and represent Warwickshire in the England Golf Men's Champion Club Tournament.

 

Handicap index limits apply, these can be found in the Terms of Competition.

 

Entry Fee is £40, which includes lunch between rounds.

 

The Top 8 finishers in the championship (who make themselves available by ticking the box at registration) will qualify for the Warwickshire Matchplay Championship.  This will be drawn after the Championship and consists of 18 hole knockout matches and a 36 hole final.  

 

In the event of a player having to withdraw from this championship after the closing date the entry fee cannot be refunded.
