Welcome to the Stewart Gold Cup 2025

We are delighted to welcome you to the Stewart Gold Cup 2025, an iconic event with a rich history.

In 1946, 34 acres of land were purchased from T.J.B. Stewart for £5,100, expanding the course. This expansion laid the foundation for what would become one of Auckland’s most cherished golf tournaments.

In April 1949, Mr. Stewart generously presented the club with the Gold Cup, worth 100 guineas. His vision and dedication to the sport led him to convince the club to establish an annual open 72-hole competition—an event that, at the time, was unprecedented in Auckland.

The first Stewart Gold Cup tournament was held in 1950, and it has since become a prominent fixture in the Auckland golfing calendar.

We are proud to continue this tradition and look forward to another exciting year of competition and camaraderie.

Thank you for being part of this historic event, and we wish you the best of luck as you take part in the 2025 Stewart Gold Cup!
