Registration
No registration will be conducted at this site. Important: Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time. There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.
Food & Beverage:
The club will have limited food and beverage services available. Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the facility.
General Information:
The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play. This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf. Local Rules of the host course do not apply. The Golf House Kentucky Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions. Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-2019 Rules of Golf book. Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is: 2 Strokes.
Distance-Measuring Devices:
The USGA DOES permit the use of distance-measuring devices for this championship.
Pace of Play Guidelines and Procedures:
Please review the pace of play guidelines and procedures included on your hole location form. This will be presented to you at your assigned starting hole.
Player/Caddie Carts:
Golf carts are not permitted for players. Pull/Push carts are allowed for the qualifier. Players may not accept motorized transportation unless authorized by a committee person.
Caddies:
Caddies are permitted, however you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie.
Practice Range:
The practice range opens at least 30 minutes before the first starting time, weather permitting. Purchase of range balls will be the responsibility of the player.
Qualifying Positions:
There are (3) allocated spots for this qualifier.
Play-off:
In the event of a tie for the qualifying place or the alternate positions, the players involved shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off. The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier.
Withdrawals:
Please contact the USGA if you need to withdraw. If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on August 7, please call (502) 649-7980 and leave a message on the voicemail.
Attire & Conduct:
Proper golf attire is required. Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited. Shorts must be mid-thigh. Golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required. The host club is a “spikeless facility.”
Close of Competition:
The qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
New Groove/Punch Marks Policy is in Effect:
Player’s clubs must conform to the groove specifications in the Rules of Golf effective January 1, 2010.
Note: Ping EYE2 clubs manufactured prior to April 1990 may not be used during Local and Sectional Qualifying as well as the Championship proper. The Condition of Competition is available for review on the entry application.
