Irish Post-Primary Schools Championships, 2024-2025

- Structure of Competition
- The Championships are contested in two stages:
- Qualifying rounds which will take place in each Region in September or October at the start of each academic year
- The Championship Final, which takes place in April each year, at the conclusion of the academic year
- 4 categories of entrants:
- Senior Girls (Under-19 in the year of the Championship final; maximum H.I. of 39.9)
- Senior Boys (Under-19 in the year of the Championship final; maximum H.I. of 19.9)
- Junior Girls (Under-16 in the year of the Championship final; maximum H.I. of 39.9)
- Junior Boys (Under-16 in the year of the Championship final; maximum H.I. of 28.0)
- Qualifying Round
- Qualifying rounds in each category will take place in each region.
- The top two players in each category in each qualifying round will qualify for the national final - in addition to which a number of places will be added on a pro-rata basis of entries at the conclusion of all qualifying rounds.
- In the Boys’ and Girls’ Junior Championship Qualifying Rounds, qualification for the All-Ireland Finals will be determined on the basis of the best net stableford score(s).
- In the Boys’ and Girls’ Senior Championship Qualifying Rounds, qualification will be determined on the basis of the best gross stableford score(s). There will, however, be a net prize for the best net score on the day of the Qualifying Round.
- Prizes in the Qualifying Round will be awarded for the best individual score in each category.
