Ocean Winds 

Format

 

Holes 1 through 9

Modified Chapman - Each player hits from the tee and then hits their partner’s ball for the second shot.  After both players have hit the second shot, the team selects the ball they wish to play and begin alternate shot until the ball is holed.  Reminder:  never in this format does a player hit his own ball on consecutive shots.  The ball may be moved up to one club length in the fairway only.

 

Holes 10 through 18

Captain’s Choice Scramble - Both players hit from the tee.  The best shot is selected, and both players may place their ball within one club length, no nearer the hole and in the same condition (rough, bunker, etc.), and play from that point.  This process is repeated until the ball is holed. 

 

 

 

 

Crooked Oaks

Format

 

Holes 1 through 9

Four-Ball Stroke Play - Each player plays his own ball.  The better ball of the two constitutes the team score on each hole.  The ball may be moved up to 1 club length in the fairway.

 

Holes 10 through 18

Two Ball Shamble - Each player hits from the tee.  The team then selects from which tee shot they wish to play.  Each player will then play their own ball from that point into the hole – both balls count.  The ball may be moved up to 1 club length in the fairway.  If the ball is not in the fairway, the original ball must be played as it lies and the partner’s ball must be dropped within one club length of the original ball, no nearer the hole.

 

 

The overall Champion will be the low net score for 36 holes.  Gross prizes will also be awarded for players on the Eagle (black/white hybrid) tee or longer.
