ENTRY FEE

 

  • The entry fee for the Golf NS Boys/Girls Junior Championship Presented by Jaguar Land Rover Halifax is:
    • U17 and U19: $205 CAD / Player (HST included)
    • U13 and U15: $175 CAD / Player (HST included)
  • A practice round is included with your entry fee and reservation details to come.

 


ENTRY DEADLINE

 

  • Registration Opens:   April 1st, 2025 at 9:00am
  • Registration Deadline:   June 17th, 2025 at 9:00pm

 

Note:  Golf Nova Scotia reserves the right to extend the registration period.

 


 

REGISTRATION PROCESS

  • Anticipating a full event (144 players), registrations will initially be placed into PENDING status.
  • On May 1st, to promote fairness for all eight (8) divisions, the first 18 players for each division will be moved to ACCEPTED status.
  • Oversubscribed division registrations will be ACCEPTED based on space provided by undersubscribed divisions in the following order:
    • U19 Girls
    • U17 Girls
    • U15 Girls
    • U13 Girls
    • U19 Boys
    • U17 Boys
    • U15 Boys
    • U13 Boys and repeated.

 

  • For example, the 19th U19 Girl registrant will be the first to be ACCEPTED if another division has not reached 18 players. Next will be the 19th U17 Girl registrant, then the 19th U17 Girl registrant, and so on.
  • After May 1, registrations will either be ACCEPTED (if the field is not full) or placed on the WAITLIST (if the field is full).

 


 

ELIGIBILITY

 

  • U19: This competition is open to male/female amateur golfers who have not reached their 19th birthday by August 1st, 2025
  • U17: This competition is open to male/female amateur golfers who have not reached their 17th birthday by August 1st, 2025
  • U15: This competition is open to male/female amateur golfers who have not reached their 15th birthday by August 1st, 2025
  • U13: This competition is open to male/female amateur golfers who have not reached their 13th birthday by August 1st, 2025
  • Handicap Index must be active & updated on the date of the application filing and at the registration deadline. It is the player’s responsibility to ensure their Handicap Index is up to date before the registration deadline. 
  • This competition is open to male & female golfers under the age of 19 as of August 1st, 2025, who are members of a golf club belonging to Golf Canada or hold a Public Player membership with Golf Canada. Out-of-province players must be members in good standing with their respective associations.
  • This event is a counting event for the World Amateur Golf Rankings (WAGR)
  • Any player who has a disability or medical condition that alters their ability on the golf course, please let Golf Nova Scotia know following your registration.

 


 

CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

 

Golf Nova Scotia will adhere to the deadlines set by Golf Canada concerning their Canadian Championships.  Any Provincial Championship competitor interested in competing in the corresponding Canadian Championship is strongly encouraged to register for it.  All Canadian Championship registrations go into PENDING and are ACCEPTED as exemptions apply and when Golf Canada hears from a Provincial Golf Association.  Please visit Golf Canada's Championship sites for REFUND POLICY AND NOTICE OF WITHDRAWAL.
