EVENT INFORMATION

As we prepare for the final showdown, please take note of the vital information below to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
 

  • Registration: Open from 11:00 – 17:30 on Sunday, 25 August, at Heron Banks GC.
     

  • Hotel Check-In: Opens at 14:00 on Sunday, 25 August 2024.
     

  • Meals: All meals, including breakfast, will be served at Heron Banks GC.
     

  • Practice Rounds: For those interested in a morning practice round on Sunday, 25 August, please book directly with Heron Banks GC at +27 78 052 4083. (Practice rounds are at the players’ own expense.)
     

  • Sunday Practice Round Dress Code: Please wear the blue golf shirt received at regionals.
     

  • Tournament Rounds: 2 Round 36-hole Betterball Stableford tournament. Please wear the kit received at registration during rounds 1 and 2 for camera and TV purposes.
     

  • Scoring: All players will be required to use the Golf Genius app for scoring. One person per 4-ball will be responsible for entering scores. Two scorecards are still required per 4-ball. (This is the same app used at regionals. Download it from Google Play Store or Apple App Store.)
     

  • Transportation: The event shuttle schedule will be shared next week. If you prefer to arrange your own transport during the event, Uber or Taljaard taxis (016 933 0094) are available at your own expense.
     

  • Golf Carts: Available at the Heron Banks Pro Shop (at players’ own expense). IMPORTANT: No carts are allowed within 10 meters of any green or tee-box. No carts are allowed left of hole 17; please keep to the right of the 17th green.
     

  • Airport Arrivals: An arrival schedule will be sent out. Look for the person holding the Standard Bank Private International Pairs sign at the arrival hall. Players will be taken directly to the golf club to register and either play a practice round or head to the hotel.
     

  • Luggage: If arriving from the airport and planning to play a practice round, you can leave your suitcases and belongings at the club. Ensure everything is clearly marked and identifiable.
     

  • Dress Code:

    • Night 1: Casual
    • Night 2: Smart Casual
    • Final Evening: Jacket and Tie/Evening Wear
       

  • Code of Conduct: Please read the code of conduct that you will be required to sign upon registration. Click here to view.

  • Handicaps: All players will be playing off their LOW-HI as shown on the HNA app.
     

  • No Caddies or Outside Caddies: Please note that no caddies or outside caddies are allowed on the course.
     

  • Score Entry: Ensure you open a round for tournament rounds 1 and 2 and enter your score within 24 hours to avoid disqualification.
     

  • Checkout Time: Wednesday, 28 August 2024, at 10:00 AM.
