Additional Local Rules for Connacht AIG Senior Cup Area Finals.

 

In effect for 20th August at Castle Dargan Golf Club

Local Rules on Club Scorecard or Notice Boards are not in effect.

Golf Ireland Hard Card is in effect for this Tournament with the Additional Local Rules below:

 

Penalty Areas

Some very large and lengthy Penalty Areas are indicated by RED marker Posts. In addition, these Penalty Area margins are further defined by red dots where the cut rough meets uncut rough.

 

On the 11^th Hole a Ball entering the Penalty Area on the right – Players only relief option under Penalty is using the mandatory Drop Zone.

 

Abnormal Course Condition

The Rock formation on Hole 6 in centre of fairway is Abnormal Course Condition, relief from lie of ball and from stance or swing. Rule 16.1 If ball is found in the Abnormal Course Condition relief is from the nearest point of relief from the ball. If the ball is not found in the Condition and it’s 95% certain that the ball is in the Condition relief is from where the ball last entered the Condition

 

Integral Parts of the Course

Internal Stone Walls are deemed to be integral parts of the general area from which free relief is prohibited. (2^nd, 3^rd, 7^th, 9^th & 10^th Holes).

Play from Golf Ireland Tee Markers

Preferred lies on areas cut to Fairway height or less are in effect on the day. Model Local Rule E3
