Key Points to Note as follows:

 

Team Size - 5 Players

 

Eligibility Handicap Index Range - No lower than 10.0 and no Greater than 36.0 in the calendar year 2023

 

Index to be used in Qualifier - Players current handicap Index on the day

 

Index to be used in the Area Final - Players current handicap index on the day

 

Order of Play of Team - Players may play in any order on the day of the Qualifier, however for the purposes of event admin and timesheet management the order shall be deemed to be the order in which you submit your team. For the Area Final the Team must be submitted in order of current handicap index on the day of Area Final on this Official Teamsheet

 

Submitting Team for Qualifier - This is to be furnished to the Regional Office no later than 7 Days prior to the Qualifier, Link to Submission Form has been issued to Club Communication Officer of all Entrants, but may also be downloaded from HERE.

 

Note: There is no obligation for a Club to field the exact same five players in the Area Final should they qualify, they may make up to but no more than two substitutions if so required.

 

Caddies: Caddies are PROHIBITED in both Qualifier and Area Final.

 

Practice: The provision of a courtesy practice round for a Team of 5 prior to the Qualifiers and/or Area Final is solely at the discretion of the housing Club. Players should not presume it's FOC and must always call ahead to make a booking. We are indebted to our two host Clubs who are giving up an entire day's timesheet to enable Golf Ireland to run this event and your co-operation is both expected and appreciated.

Area Final: This shall be played over two Legs (Home & Away) between the Leading Qualifiers from the two venues. The Dates set down for these are Saturday 5th October and Saturday 19th October. The Draw for these two finals is as follows:

Transportation Policy: Only players who present a Golf Ireland Official Certificate of Disabillity to the Lead Golf Ireland Official on the day may use a motorised Golf cart in the Qualifier and/or Area Finals. The full Details of the GI Transportation Policy may be read HERE.

 

Local Rules: The Golf Ireland Hard Card shall be in effect at both Qualifier Venues and for the Area Finals. The Starter shall advise with respect to any local Additional Local Rules (ALRs) on the day.
