This competition is open to all Comox Golf Club lady members having a current established handicap as recorded in the Golf Canada System. Players with no established handicap or who have not maintained their handicap will be allowed to play only in the 9-hole flight and cannot compete for that flight’s prizes save for putt-for-dough.
Format
This is a two-day stroke play competition played in flights.
The number of flights will depend upon the number of entrants– each flight must have a minimum of eight players. 9-hole players will have a single flight.
First Day: Shotgun start at 08:30 a.m. Pairings will be in order of playing handicap.
Second Day: Shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. Pairings will be in order of gross score posted on the first day within flight.
Side-Games:
18-hole players - Flighted skins and Putt for Dough on both days.
9-hole players – 9-hole Putt for Dough (separate from 18-hole) on both days
Non-competitors will be paired together at the end of the 9-hole field and can participate in putt for dough only.
RULES and Handicaps
RCGA and Comox Golf Club local rules apply.
In accordance with RCGA guidelines, full handicap allowance will be used to a maximum of fifty-four handicap index.
Playing handicap in effect on August 22 at noon will be used for both days of play.
TIES
A tie for Overall Club Gross Champion will be broken by a sudden-death play-off starting at hole one.
All other ties will be broken according to retrogression in accordance with RCGA rules -- the best second round, then back nine, then best score on the last six holes, then to the best score on the last three holes, and then to the best score on the last (18th) hole.

Overall Club Gross Champion – Simms Trophy
Overall Net Champion
Lowest putts for the two days combined – Ethel Cliff Trophy
Prizes will also be given to flight gross and net winners.
