Hole In One Insurance!

Tallwood Men’s Club will again offer the voluntary option to buy Hole in One insurance for the 2025 golf season.  The entry fee of $10 will be collected via credit card online.

Making a Hole in One, is a joyous occasion for any golfer.  It is a common practice for this lucky / skilled golfer, to buy drinks in the clubhouse to celebrate their good fortune.

This “practice” however, is completely up to the discretion of the golfer.

How this works:

  • $10 collected from each golfer who chooses to buy this insurance
  • We will pay out 50% of the total collected - which will cover two members getting a hole in one in a year.
  • A hole in One certificate will be awarded or the Lucky Golfer congratulating them and showing the amount of insurance to be reimbursed via a check from the Treasurer.
  • Lucky Golfer can decide to use some, all, or none of their insurance to buy drinks.
  • For those choosing to use their insurance money, the Pro Shop has agreed to allow reduced pricing on drinks

Additionally,

  1. If we have 1 hole in one during the season then the “other half” of the funds collected, will be rolled over to next year, thereby increasing the pot by this amount.  The pot will be the total of this rollover, plus new entries for that year.  We again will pay for 2 hole in one’s
  2. If we have 2 hole in ones – the total insurance amount has been paid, we will again offer $10 entry fee to those that wish to buy a new insurance.
  3. If we have no holes in ones (and for those that decided to re-enter if we already had 2 holes in ones in that year), we roll that over to the next golf season, and those golfers are automatically grandfathered / paid for that year.
  4. Members can buy in at any time during the year (unless you are trying to buy in after getting an ace!).
