Groupings & Starting Times

Starting times begin at 8:00 a.m. from the Hole #1.

 

Practice Round

Contact club for information concerning practice rounds.

All holes will be played from the Blue Tees.

Registration 

No registration will be conducted at this site. Important:  Report to the starting tee no less than 5 minutes prior to your assigned starting time.  There is no call to the tee; it is the player’s responsibility to arrive on time.

 

Food & Beverage:

The club will have food and beverage services available.  Cash or charges are accepted.  Outside food and beverages are not allowed at the facility.   

 

General Information:

The Rules of the United States Golf Association govern play.  This information sheet, the USGA Rules hard card and any site-specific Local Rules and Conditions of Competition sheets are supplements to the Rules of Golf.  Local Rules of the host course do not apply.  The KGA-PGA, Inc. Rules and Competitions Committee, who are charged with conducting this site, shall settle all questions.  Reference to the Rules and Appendix I may be found in the 2016-19 Rules of Golf book.  Unless otherwise noted the penalty for breach of a Local Rule or Condition is:  2 Strokes.

 

Distance-Measuring Devices:

The USGA DOES permit the use of distance-measuring devices for its amateur championships.

 

Player/Caddie Carts:

Golf carts are permitted.  Pull/Push carts are also allowed for the qualifier. 

*One-seat policy* - Allows either the player or the caddie to ride in or move a golf cart, but not at the same time.

 

Spectator Carts

USGA policy does not permit spectator carts.  There are no exceptions to this policy.

 

Caddies:

Caddies are permitted, however you are responsible for making your own arrangements for a caddie.

 

Practice Range:

The practice range opens at least 45 minutes before the first starting time, weather permitting. Purchase of range balls will be the responsibility of the player.

 

Qualifying Positions:

There is one (1) qualifying spot for this site.

 

Play-off:

In the event of a tie for the qualifying place or the alternate positions, the players concerned shall compete in a hole-by-hole play-off.  The starting hole and time shall be announced at the scoreboard immediately after the Committee has verified the results of the qualifier. 

 

Withdrawals: 

Please contact the USGA if you need to withdraw.  If you need to withdraw any time after 5:00 on July 26, please call Bill Coomer (502) 649-7980 and leave a message on the voicemail.

 

Attire & Conduct:

Proper golf attire is required.  Blue jeans, designer jeans, tee shirts, and tank tops are prohibited.  Shorts must be mid-thigh.  Golf shirts with a traditional or mock collar are required.  The host club is a “spikeless facility.” 

 

Close of Competition:

The qualifying competition shall be deemed to have closed when all scores have been returned and the committee has approved the results.
