2024 Junior Development League - Hosted by Gowan Brae

 

Welcome to the 2024 Junior Development League! This event and league will be open to all Junior Boy and Junior Girls age 8 to 18. To be eligible the competitor must not be over 19 years of age before August 1st, 2024. All competitors must also have a Golf Canada membership and valid Handicap Index to be eligible for participation. 

 

The cost for the Junior Development League will be $40 plus tax for all competitors, included is one round of golf, an awesome tee gift and a meal voucher. 

 

Tee times for this event begin at 1pm on June 30th, tee time pairing will be posted on Friday June 28th at 12pm.

 

Divisions for the event will be as follows U19, U17, U15, U13, U11 

 

Information Sheet Golf NB Junior Golf League 2024

 

Learn to Compete - 18 holes competition
Male U19 and U17 Play blue tees at Gowan Brae (6300 yards)
Male U15 Play White tees at Gowan Brae (5700 yards)
Male U13 play red tees at Gowan Brae (5200 Yards )
Female U19 and U17 play white tees (5700 yards)
Female U15 and U13 play red tees (5200 yards)
 

Rules
- All golfers are expected to have an established Golf Canada Handicap.
- Golf Canada rules for competition apply
- All competitors walk with no caddies.

 

Learn to play - 9 holes competition
U11 and under male and female
- Modified length golf course approximately: Par 3's - 100 yards, Par 4's -150yd, Par 5's -
200yds (1400 yards at Gowan Brae)
- Golf ball can be teed up in the fairway (optional)
- All competitors must walk.
- Caddies are allowed but must walk (no power carts)
- Max score double par
- Must be at least one parent or adult with each group.
- Golf Canada handicap not required.

 

Maximum of 72 players per event: 48 - Learn to compete competitors and 24- learn to play
competitors.
