Bonville Golf Resort – Additional Local Rules


(To be read in conjunction with the JNJG & GNSW Local Rules Hard Card and the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A)

 

  1. Maintained gardens not marked as hazards to be treated as GUR
  2. Cassidy’s Road is G.U.R. whilst playing holes 12, 13 & 14.
  3. OUT OF BOUNDS – Perimeter fences on holes 1, 2, 3, 9, 10 & 11. Roads behind 8th & 18th as marked.
  4. Penalty areas are defined by red or yellow linemarking and/or pegs.
  5. Any ball which strikes power lines or supporting poles, must be replayed without penalty.
  6. IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS – Electrical switchboxes, pump house, grass tree distance markers, rest rooms, drainage grates, hazard pegs and sprinkler heads.
  7. Embedded ball, through the green may be lifted and dropped without penalty.
  8. Ropes and posts bordering cart paths to be treated as immovable obstructions.
    (Rule 24-2b/1). All other ropes and posts to be treated as movable obstructions.
  9. Washaways in bunkers to be treated as G.U.R. (Rule 25-1b(ii) applies).
  10. Areas of blue/grey coloured ‘Bush Rock’ not marked as hazard to be treated as G.U.R.
  11. Ruts caused by tractors to be treated as G.U.R.
  12. All staked trees to be treated as G.U.R. – Compulsory drop.
  13. For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by using a device that measures distance only.
  14. If a ball lies within 2 club lengths of a fixed sprinkler head, and that sprinkler head is within 2 club lengths of the putting green (of the hole being played), relief may be obtained under relief entitlements of rule 24-2.
  15. On hole 17 if your ball is not in the penalty area but you would need to stand on the timber boards painted red which define the penalty area, or if the timber boards would affect the path of your swing, you are entitled to free relief as these timber boards painted red are immovable obstructions.
