NOPGA Spring Pro/Am – May 26/2024

Official Rules Sheet

 

• Play ball as it lies. Summer rules in effect.
• Professionals Aged 59 & under play Gold tees.
• All Amateur Men Aged 69 & Under & Pros Aged 60+ play Green tees.
• All Ladies & Amateur Men Aged 70+ play Red tees.
• Professionals – play your own ball and count your gross score.
• Gross Skins: Optional $20 CASH Skins pot for Professionals.

 

Amateur Team Format:

Amateurs play Scramble for their score. Professionals gross score will be added to that for the team score.

• Ball may be place within 1 club length not closer to the hole anywhere in the general area, but must remain in the same condition (ie. Rough stays in rough, bunker stays in bunker). Once the ball is on the green it must be played from its original spot by all players.

 

Additional Rules

• Lateral penalty area- all lost balls will be treated as a lateral penalty- one stroke penalty! Drop ball at the nearest location as to where the ball entered the lost location.
• If in doubt as to the proper procedure, a player may play a second ball and obtain a ruling from the referee. All rules decisions to be decided upon by the appointed referees, Sam Yawney and Tom Clark.
• In the event of a tie for Low Professional, there will be a sudden death playoff. All Team ties will be broken using the Golf Canada rules of retrogression.
• Drop areas- will be in play on holes 1,6,7,13,15.
• Distance measuring devices are allowed. Pin Position- #5
