Qualifications for Amateur entry:
- Must be of amateur status as defined by the R & A
- Must have their ‘home club’ in Hampshire.
- Must have a handicap index of 4.0 or less.
- Must not have taken part in a Golf Championship of another County or have represented another County at golf during the twelve months preceding the Championship.
The Championship will be played over 36 holes stroke play, sudden death to decide ties. Amateur places (outside of 1st place) will be decided on count back. The Champion will hold the Parkersell Trophy and the Leading Amateur the Hampshire, Isle of Wight and Channel Islands Golf Union Salver for one year. The event will be played under R & A Rules and PGA Tournament Rules. All male players must wear long trousers, shorts are prohibited for this tournament. Players must use a single ball type for both rounds.
It is an additional tournament condition that the top 3 amateurs attend the Prize Presentation.
This event is the final event of the Hampshire Golf Order Of Merit and the presentation for this will follow play.
The Amateur Entry Fee is £65.00, to include Lunch in between rounds. Please note that no refund of entry fee will be made after Wednesday 21st August. A practice round is available after 2pm weekdays by prior arrangement with the Pro Shop.
