TOURNAMENT ELIGIBILITY: All Amateur UGA members with a handicap index below 17.0 as of May 27th. 

 

ENTRY FEE: $200 per player, price includes range balls.

 

EARLY REGISTRATION: Players that meet the following criteria can register one week early: Past Champions, Top 10 finishers from the Championship Amateur Flight in 2023, and Top 5 finishers from the A Flight in 2023.

 

REGISTRATION & ENTRY DEADLINE: Preferred Player Entry begins on April 29th. General registration begins on May 6th and ends on May 26th. 

 

 

 

EVENT INFORMATION

 

FORMAT & FIELD SIZE: The event will be contested over 36 holes of Individual Stroke Play. The field is limited to 156 players and will play in threesomes.

 

STARTING TIMES & PAIRINGS: Starting times and pairings for the first round will be available no later than Thursday, May 8th. Final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening after round 1 of play. Final round starting times will be re-drawn, based on round 1 scores. 

 

CART RENTAL: The cart fee will allow you to ride a cart each tournament day. If you elect to ride only one day, your fee is non-refundable.

 

FLIGHT & TEE INFORMATION: The committee will determine a fair and equitable way to split the amateur field determined by entries, indexes of said entries, and previous flighting rules. Once flighted the Championship Amateur Flight will play the Black Tees and all other flights will play the Blue Tees.

 

AMATEUR PAYOUT: Payouts will be determined by the flights and will be based on the number of entries in the field. All flight winners will be issued gift certificates to be used for merchandise at any Salt Lake City golf course. All merchandise certificates MUST be used by October 31. 2024.

 

Flight Information & Tees: Players with a handicap of .5 or less will be placed in the Championship Flight and play the Black Tees. All other players will be split evenly between Flight 1 & 2 and will play the blue tees. All participants will be eligible to compete for the Overall Championship as long as they play the Black Tees.

We are excited to share more information for the upcoming Richard C. Kramer Salt Lake City Amateur Championship, scheduled on June 1st & 2nd at Bonneville Golf Course. Please find the detailed information below:

 

Withdrawal & No-Show Policy: If you cannot compete in the championship, you must officially withdraw from the event by contacting Lynsey Myers at lynsey.myers@slcgov.com. If you do not officially withdraw, you may be subject to DISQUALIFICATION from future SLC Amateur Championships. Any player withdrawing before Tuesday, May 27th at 11:00 p.m. will receive a full refund, less a $20 administrative fee. Any withdrawals after the entry deadline will not receive a refund.

 

Practice Facilities: Range balls are included in your entry fee and practice facilities will be available to all players for the duration of the Championship. The practice facilities will open one hour before the first starting time.

 

Carts: All players who wish to ride must check in with the golf shop staff each morning to check out a golf cart. The golf shop staff will have a list of all participants who pre-paid for their carts during the registration process. If you did not pay the $20 per day cart rental fee during registration, you may pay when you check-in. Only two carts per group will be permitted and no spectator carts will be allowed.

 

Starting Times & Pairings: Starting times and pairings for the first round will be available no later than Thursday, May 30th. Round 1 and the final round starting times and pairings will be available in the evening after play, online at SLC Amateur Pairings, and will be emailed to players. Final round starting times and pairings will be re-drawn, based on the total score of Round 1.

 Saturday, June 1 - Round 1:

  • 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – B Flight
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – A Flight
  • 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Championship Flight
  • Lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

 

Sunday, June 2 - Round 2: All flights repaired based on scores from round 1.

  • 7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. – B Flight
  • 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. – A Flight
  • 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. – Championship Flight
  • Approximately 7:30 p.m. – Awards ceremony near the clubhouse after the conclusion of the round
