Just 25 minutes northwest of the famed Las Vegas Strip, this international golf destination is serving up the ultimate trio of magnificent, championship golf courses. Sculpted by World Golf Hall of Fame architect Pete Dye, these courses are his only pure designs in Nevada. 

 

IMPORTANT NOTE: All Golfweek senior amateur tournaments are counting tournaments leading to exemptions into the 2025 U.S. Senior Amateur at Biltmore Forest Country Club in Asheville, NC.

 

Tournament Facts:

  Eligibility:   

- Amateur Golfers, aged 55 and over by November 6, 2025.

- Handicap Index of 8.0 or lower

 

Divisions:

-Senior age 55-64

-Super Senior age 65-69

-Legends age 70-74

-Super Legends age 75+

 

Tees:

-Senior Division will play approximately 6300-6500 yards

-Super Senior Division will play approximately 6000-6300 yards

-Legends Division will play approximately 5600-6000 yards

-Super Legends Division will play 5400-5600 yards 

The yardage will be determined by course conditions and might vary from day to day. 

 

Conditions of Play:

The current USGA Rules of Golf shall be in effect

 

Tournament Registration $895.00 Includes: 

- Three (3) tournament rounds with cart.

- Player's lunch following the final round

- Awards following the final round

- Merchandise prize pool of $80.00 per player.

- Carts are mandatory.

 

Accommodations: Are not included in your entry fee, however, many options are available in the Las Vegas area. As always, rates are based on availability at the time of booking so book your reservations in advance.

 

Schedule of Events-

 

Practice Rounds: 

- The official practice round date is Tuesday, November 5, 20224. Please note - For tee times call the pro-shop at 800-711-2833 and identify yourself as a Golfweek Senior Desert Showdown participant. Tee times can be made one-week in advance of the play date.

      

Tuesday, November 5, Practice Round:

Practice rounds start at 10 AM. Tournament registration will be in the pro-shop area starting around 10 AM. If you cannot be at registration, we will take care of it a scoring following your first round.

 

Wednesday, November 6, Round 1:

7:30 AM - 9:27 AM Starting off of No.1 and No. 10 tee. 

 

Thursday, November 7, Round 2:

7:30 AM - 11:33 AM Starting off of No.1 tee ONLY.

 

Friday, November 8, Round 3:

7:30 AM - 9:27 AM Starting on No.1 and No.10 tee

Immediately after the completion of each division:

- Buffet lunch 

- Players Awards

- Departures

Cancellation Policy:  

Deadline to register: October 30 or until field is full

Prior to September 15, 2022: 100% refund minus $100 cancellation fee

September 16 - October 15, 2022: 50% refund

After October 15, 2024:  No Refund
