2025 Men’s & Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships 

 

The 2025 Men’s and Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships will be played at Southern Golf Club, Friday 3rd – Monday 6th January 2025. There will be a practice round the morning of Thursday 2nd January, and the AM-AM Teams Challenge the afternoon of Thursday 2nd January 2025. Players will be placed in either the morning or afternoon fields on Thursday 2nd January at the discretion of the Australian Master of the Amateurs.

 

2025 will be the 28th Anniversary of the Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship and the 8th Anniversary of the Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship. 

 

The 2025 Men’s & Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships are open to elite amateur golfers, through Exemptions which will be listed on this website shortly and Expressions of Interest. The field for the 2025 Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship will be 84 male players and the 2025 Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship will be 84 female players. The number of female and male players may be adjusted closer to the championships, depending on player entries. The field size has been capped at a total of 168 players, however, may be adjusted at the discretion of the Australian Master of the Amateurs International Selection Committee and Chairman of Selectors.  All players are required to have an R&A WAGR Ranking. Male and female elite amateur golfers shall compete in separate Championships, under the title of the Men’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship & the Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championship.

The 2025 Men’s and Women’s Australian Master of the Amateurs Championships are 72-hole stroke championships with a cut after 54-holes.

 

The top 40 male championship players plus ties and the top 40 female championship players plus ties, after 54-holes of the championship, shall compete in the final round (round 4) of the Men’s & Women’s Championships.
