2024 MENS LEAGUE

RULES OF PLAY

Date:              Starts Thursday May 4th with a 5:30 pm shotgun start and ends September 7th with an 18-hole tournament. EVERY LEAGUE NIGHT WILL START AT 5:30 PM.

Format:          Two player teams competing a point’s championship race using handicaps.

There will be an “A” and “B” player on each team. The “A” player is determined by the lower handicap. Each week you will play against another team. The lowest handicap of both teams will play against each other, doesn’t matter if they are a sub or not.

Scoring:          Each match that is won is worth 3 points. A tie is worth 1.5 points. A loss is worth 0 points. The maximum amount of points that can be scored in

one (1) week is 6 points.

Check-In        Players are required to check in at the pro-shop BEFORE play begins. Check in will start at 4:00 PM. If you check in before 4:00, you will be charged for 18 holes.

Rules:             All players must play the ball as it lies! No improving your lie!. THIS WILL BE A POINT OF EMPHASIS THIS YEAR. FAILURE TO COOPERATE WILL LEAD TO BEING DQ’D FROM YOUR MATCH.

All native grass that is not marked as out of bounds will be played as a Penalty Area! If your ball goes into the native grass (unless marked with out of bounds stakes) you are allowed to play the ball is you find it, or drop within two club lengths of the ball last crossed the margin of the penalty area. The road on #1 & #4 is out of bounds.

Tees:              All men 59 years and younger will play from the WHITE TEES.

All men 60 years and older are allowed to play from the GOLD TEES.

If you start with the white tees you must play the entire 9 holes from the white tees and if you start from the gold tees you must play the entire 9 holes from the gold tees! No switching back in forth between tees! If you decide to play the white tees, you must finish out the session from the white tees. You can’t go back and forth each week from white to gold tees because of handicap indexes. YOU MUST LET ME KNOW WHAT TEE’S YOU ARE PLAYING IF YOU ARE NOT PLAYING FROM THE SAME TEE’S AS LAST YEAR!! PLEASE INDICATE WHAT TEE BOX YOU ARE PLAYING FROM IN YOUR ENTRY!

Pace of Play: This league is designed for fun! Our goal is for all groups to play nine holes of golf between 2-2 ½ hours. PLAY READY GOLF when the green or teeing area is open, be ready to hit. Also, help watch and look for other players’ golf balls when they need your assistance.

NO SHOW    If you are unable to make a league night, you are responsible for finding a

POLICY:       substitute. If you can’t find a substitute, you can locate the sub list on the new Men’s League Portal. OUR NEW POLICY: IF BOTH OF YOUR PLAYERS ARE NOT PRESENT FOR LEAGUE THIS WILL BE CLASSIFIED AS 1 “NO SHOW.” IF YOU COLLECT 3 “NO SHOWS” FOR THE YEAR THEN YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SIGN UP EARLY FOR LEAGUE NEXT YEAR AND YOUR SPOT IS NOT RESERVED.

Once you find a sub, please call the pro-shop and inform them. In a perfect world, I would like all subs to be reported to the pro shop before 3:00 PM in order to prepare scorecards with the correct handicaps posted. Subs are required to pay a one-time fee of $10 to sub in the league.

ON THE PORTAL

HOME TAB

  • This tab will show you the Men’s League Rules listed above on the welcome page.

TEE SHEET TAB

  • This will show you weekly tee sheets that you can sort by date. It will show your starting hole on these sheet too.
  • The Players section will show you a list of players in the league and their indexes.
  • The Round Robin Schedule section will show you the schedule for the entire year.

RESULTS TAB

  • This is where you will find the weekly results. The “tournament” results is the weekly matchup results. This shows every matchup for the night so it will look pretty messy on a phone view of this page. The team points summary shows how many points each team scored that night.
  • The “team league standings” will show you the total points accumulated for the year. The original screen will show every team and how many points they’ve scored. To see just your division and which session you will need to filter that in the drop-down boxes to show how you stand within your division.

PLAYER STATISTICS TAB

  • This is where you will find all your analytics. It shows you course stats of which holes played the hardest, individual player stats, and most importantly will show how your handicap gets calculated on a week to week basis. Please remember your handicap index is not your playing handicap that is used for league nights.

SUB List Tab

  • Pretty self-explanatory. I will try and upload the most recent sub lists as frequent as I can.
