Format:  Match Play - Better Ball of Partners (9-Holes).  The primary tee for the event will be the Red Tees.  Players will receive 90% of their current USGA handicap. 

 

Strokes will be awarded in each match according to the following formula:

  • Low handicap in the match plays at scratch.  Other players will receive the difference between the handicaps. 
  • Half strokes will count as such and scorecards will be distributed before each match. (1/2 Shots will be used).
  • Points per match are earned as follows:
    • 0 points for a loss
    • ½ point for a tie
    • 1 point for a win 
    • 0 points is given during your bye week
  • Week 8 will be a NET Better Ball of Partners (Stableford Points) format. 
  • Stableford points are earned as follows:
    • 5 points for an Eagle
    • 3 points for a Birdie
    • 1 point for a Par
    • -1 point for a Bogey or Worse
  • The team with the most stableford points within their flight will receive the following points:
    • 1st ~ 1 point
    • 2nd ~ 0.8 points
    • 3rd ~ 0.6 points
    • 4th ~ 0.4 points
    • 5th ~ 0.2 points

 

Live Scoring:  A member of the foursome is required to post the scores through Golf Genius: mobile app or golf cart.

 

Scorecards:  All scorecards (the official document) must be signed, attested, and submitted immediately following play.

 

Flights: There will be (5) flights based on the team's combined handicap index. Each flight will have a bye week. Flights were created based on the team's Combined Handicap Index. The handicaps used were as of April 26th Revision. 

 

Handicaps: Playing Handicaps will be updated the morning of each match. The maximum handicap a player can have is 18 for a 9 hole match. 

 

Matches: Teams will play each team within their flight twice.

 

Bye Week Schedule:  Each flight will have a “bye week”.  Below is a list of the weeks.

  • Flight 1 = June 5 (Week 6)
  • Flight 2 = May 29 (Week 5)
  • Flight 3 = May 22 (Week 4)
  • Flight 4 = May 15 (Week 3)
  • Flight 5 = May 8 (Week 2)

 

Posting:  Scores will be posted by the league. If your match completes prior to the conclusion of all 9 holes, the use of par plus any handicap strokes the player is entitled to receive, should be recorded on the scorecard for each hole that is not finished.

   

Substitutes: Substitutions are permitted during the regular season only.  A team is allowed THREE substitutes throughout the entire season.  A substitute can’t be a member of the league.  Teams are responsible to get their own substitutes and notify the staff as soon as possible.

 

No Shows: Teams with one no-show player will play the match as a one-man team or forfeit the match.  Teams with two no-shows will forfeit the match.  At least one player from a team must be present to play or the match will be forfeited.

 

Rain-Outs: If there is a complete cancellation of a Thursday due to inclement weather, all teams will receive a half-point.  If play is started and 5 or more holes are completed; the match is official.  If less than 5 holes are completed the matched is considered to be halved.     

 

Playoffs: All flight winners, plus the (3) teams (non-flight winners) with the most stableford points during week 8 will qualify for the playoffs. 

 

Tie Breaking Procedures: Ties will be broken in the following manner for Flight Winners & Wild Card Teams:

  • Flight Winners
  1. Head-to-Head (Match Result)
  2. Head-to-Head (Match of Cards, starting with the most difficult hole)
  3. Stableford Points (Week 8)
  4. Chip-off
  • Wild Card Teams (during Stableford Week)
    1. Most Stableford Points
    2. Net Score (9-holes)
    3. Match of Cards (Points), starting with the most difficult hole
    4. Chip-off

 

Playoffs Seeding: Flight Winners will be awarded seeds 1-5.  Seeding based on the number of points during the regular season.  If teams are tied, the Wild Card Teams Tie Breaking Procedure will be used to break the tie. Wild Card Teams will awarded seeds 6-8.

 

Playoffs Schedule:

  • Round 1 – June 26 @ 5pm (TT)
  • Round 2 – July 10 @ 5pm (TT)
  • Round 3 – July 17 @ 5pm (TT)

 

Payout:  Payouts will be in the form of cash.  Teams can pick up their winners at the completion of the league, after the final match. 

  • Flight Winners = $300 each
  • Playoff Champions (Overall Champions) = $400 each
  • Playoff Runner-Up = $250 each
  • Semifinalist = $125 each
