95th New England Amateur Championship
Laconia Country Club | July 16 - 18, 2024
Eligibility: Entries are open to amateur golfers who hold membership in a club belonging to one of the six New England State Golf Associations and have an up-to-date USGA/GHIN Handicap Index not exceeding 6.4.
Schedule: 54-holes stroke play (18 holes per day) with 144 players. The 60 low players (and ties) after 36-holes will advance to the final round.
Practice Rounds:

Dates & Times: Practice rounds will be available any day of the week except Saturdays, with the exception of July 8th and July 12th. Practice round times will be subject to tee sheet availability.
Notes
- In order to schedule a practice round please e-mail Laconia Country Club Golf Professional Allison Mitzel via e-mail at amitzel@laconiacountryclub.com.
- Please include the day you wish to play and an approximate time window (i.e. Monday, July 15th - Afternoon) and if you have other players you would like to be paired with.
- Allison will respond with a confirmed time and group once requests have been received. Please note, if you are requesting a time for the day prior to the Championship (Monday, 7/15) it may take some time before you receive a response.
- The practice round fee will be $90, cash or credit.
- Guests/Caddies are permitted to play with a player if they wish to play at the practice round rate on all dates except for 7/15.
- Competitors will be limited to one practice round and will be paired up with other New England Amateur Competitors.
- Only one ball may be played per competitor during their practice round.
- Players unable to complete a practice round may walk the golf course (no clubs) after 5:00pm on Monday, July 15th. The practice facilities will be open to players on Monday, July 15th until 6:00pm. Please follow the instruction of any NEGA or Laconia CC staff as the golf course and facility are being prepared for the Championship.
- Players should play the #1 Tee Markers (approximately 6,800 yards - Par 72) during their practice round.
Caddies & Automotive Transportation: Players may use caddies during play. A player is not required to employ a caddie for any round of the competition. Players shall not use automotive transportation during play. The optional condition prescribed in Appendix I of the Rules of Golf shall be in effect. Push/Pull Carts are permitted.
Practice Facilities: The practice facilities will open each day 1 hour prior to the first starting time.
Food/Beverage: The NEGA will be providing a complimentary luncheon on July 16, 17, and 18 for all competitors.

Prizes: Winner will receive the Harry B. McCracken, Jr. Trophy, and merchandise certificate. Merchandise certificates are only redeemable at the host club.
Inclement Weather/Cancelled Round Stipulation: The NEGA reserves the right to alter any of the conditions and schedules herein.
Restrictions: If the Championship course is declared unplayable and as a result it is not possible to complete the 54 holes of play in the period in which the Championship is scheduled, the Championship will not be extended beyond the last scheduled day and the winner shall be the individual who returns the lowest score for the number of stipulated rounds played. The Committee may institute a cut in order to play the last stipulated round.

Withdrawal/Refund Policy
Competitors, who have submitted an entry for an NEGA event and wish to withdraw for any reason, MUST notify the NEGA office in writing (e-mail is acceptable and encouraged) or by phone. The qualified player payment will be refunded less a $20 administrative fee, regardless of reason, if the NEGA is notified in writing or by phone seven days prior to each event. Entry fee will be refunded less 50% for any withdrawals received less than seven days prior to each event. No refund will be processed for a withdrawal notification that is received on the scheduled date of an event.
