New England Amateur Qualifying | Lyman Orchards - Jones Course | Middlefield, CT

Practice RoundsCompetitors may reserve any available tee time at Lyman Orchards (Jones Course) prior to the qualifier. When checking in for your practice round, please identify yourself as a competitor in the qualifier to receive a $20 discount off the public rate during that time. 
 

Starting Times:  Play will begin at 7:30am off the 1st tee. Pairings & Starting Times can be found by clicking the Pairings & Starting Times tab above. 

 

Qualifying & Alternate Spots Available: 15 players (plus ties) will qualifying for the Championship Proper. Players who qualify will advance to the 95th New England Amateur Championship at Laconia Country Club July 16 - 18. The allocation of places is subject to change if there is a significant change in field size. If there is any change in the number of qualifying spots it will be communicated on/before Wednesday, June 12th. 

 

Distance Devices:  The use of distance measuring devices (including GPS watches, phone apps, etc.) is permitted

 

Automotive Transportation: The use of automotive transportation is permitted, but not required, and the cost of a golf cart is included in the players entry fee. Automotive transportation will not be permitted for the Championship proper. 

 

Caddies: Caddies are permitted. Caddies may not have an open seat to ride in a golf cart, as the NEGA does not permit more than two golf carts per group at any event. 

 

Competition Tees/ Yardage: The competition will be played from approximately the BLUE/EMPIRE tee yardage (Approx 6,700 yards; par 72).

 

Practice Facilities & Dining: The range will be open at 6:30am. A small bucket of balls is $7 at the Lyman Orchards range. Food & Beverage service will be available for purchase beginning at 11:00am at the 1741 Pub & Grill. 

 

 

*There will be no registration on the day of the event - please report to your scheduled starting hole to receive local rules, scorecard, etc. 10 minutes prior to your starting time.
