Format

Stroke Play (Gross) Qualifying - Aggregate of two lowest gross scores to count for team score. Ties will be decided in accordance with Regulation 8.1(b) HERE

 Course Setup

Play will be from the Red Tees 

Qualifiers

Four Clubs to Qualify

Please refer to the ‘Match Play Stage’ page for more information regarding upcoming rounds.

Practice Area

Driving nets, short iron range, Par 3 Valley course, Putting Green. Players must provide their own golf balls. 

Local Rules

Golf Ireland’s Hard Card  is in operation. The local rules on the club scorecard will not apply. Hard Card available to view under Team Captains’ Resources.
Any additional local rules will be advised to teams at check in.

Catering

It is essential that teams communicate any catering requirements they have in advance by contacting the      

Club Caterer on 01-490 4207

All catering must be paid on the day by teams.

Car Parking

 

Parking is limited and teams are requested to car share if possible.

Photographs

There will be no official photographer at the venue however Golf Ireland officials may take photos of the qualifiers.  

Practice

Teams may avail of one complimentary practice round by contacting the Pro Shop in advance. 
Golf Ireland Voucher system in operation. Each Team Captain has been issued a link to download practice vouchers which must be presented on arrival at the Pro Shop.  Maximum of 8 vouchers permitted per team.

Referees

Referees will be situated throughout the course to give rulings when required. These referees will also be monitoring the Pace of Play. Should players fall out of position, they will be timed and may be penalised for bad times. Please ensure players are conscious of the need to play at a steady pace.

 

It is important to note Referees are not assigned to follow any individual group. Furthermore, the Referee cannot intervene unless one or more of the players calls on them to do so. A team captain is not part of the side under the rules of golf and cannot act on the players’ behalf in this regard. However, a team captain can advise the players to call a Referee.

Team Sheets/Registration & Scoring 

Registration and scoring will be located at the office adjacent to the putting green.
Team Captains are encouraged to submit their Team Sheet with the Golf Ireland official on-site one hour prior to tee off. Teams Sheets may still be amended up to 30 minutes before tee time per Golf Ireland  regulations. Team Sheets are available to view in the Club Hub Here.

Trollies

Pull trollies are free of charge. Electric Trollies (€15) are available from the Pro Shop. Electric Trollies must be booked in advance - 3 are available.

Buggies

Buggies are available for use by Golf Ireland Referees and Officials only. Golf Ireland’s Transportation Policy applies to all other persons on site.

Transportation Policy 

A copy of Golf Ireland's Transportation Policy is available for the Club Hub and will be strictly enforced. Please note that this policy intends to facilitate players only with physical disabilities in allowing such individuals to use Golf Buggies. However, the use of a Golf Buggy will be subject to any heath and safety restrictions laid down and is contingent on the individual sourcing own transportation with own third party insurance, as buggies will not be available form the host clubs for this purpose.

 

Any competitor intending to use a Golf Buggy in accordance with the Transportation Policy MUST contact the regional office in advance via email at leinster@golfireland.ie or by phone at 01-5054000 and are REQUIRED to submit the appropriate certification in advance of their arrival at the venue. Submission of certification in person on the day of competition will not be sufficient to be allowed to use a buggy.

Regulations and Terms of Competition

It is essential that you familiarise yourself with the Regulations for Cups and Shields Competitions which can be found on the Golf Ireland Club Hub.

 

As per the Golf Ireland Hard Card, a Team Captain may consult with and give advice to the members of his team during the course of play but may not walk onto the putting green or point out a line for putting. Please note that only one individual may be appointed by each team for such purposes.

Other items

Clubhouse & Pro Shop will open at 7:00am
Locker Rooms are available for use.  Towels for showering are available free of charge.

Golf Shoes/hats are not permitted in the clubhouse.
