Rules of Play

                              

Distance Measuring Devices:  Distance Measuring Devices are permitted for use as long as they do not read slope and/or wind.

 

Pace of Play: Players will be asked to please keep up with the group ahead. Push Carts are allowed to assist with pace of play.

 

Out of Bounds / Penalty AreasOut of bounds is determined by the inside edge of fence posts at ground level, public roads and white stakes / line. Penalty areas are defined by red or yellow stakes / lines. All other areas are to be played as part of the course.

 

Bunkers: Stones, leaves and other loose impediments may be removed from a bunker with no penalty. Please be sure to smooth out any sand disturbed by a player’s shot.

 

Putting Green: The flagstick is allowed to remain in the hole or removed before a stroke is made at the hole. Be sure to repair any spike or ball marks made during play.

 

Divisions & Format:

  • Futures: recommended age 10-11 (boys and girls) / Stroke Play (caddie required)
  • Prep: recommended age 12-13 (boys and girls) / Stroke Play (caddie recommended)
  • Medalist: recommended age 14-18 (boys and girls) / Stroke Play (caddie optional)

 

Futures, Prep and Medalist divisions will use regular stroke play format - total number of strokes on each hole - including strokes made and penalty strokes. There is a triple bogey max rule in scoring each hole to help maintain a good pace of play.

 

Links Fore Fun division will use scramble format (Captain’s Choice) where possible. Players are welcome to keep score but it is not required. Caddies are required for ages 10-11, recommended for 12 & up

 

Scorers Area: Scorecards must be signed, attested and submitted to the scorer’s table immediately upon completion of the final hole.

 

Rules Committee: The tournament rules committee will have the final decision on all rulings on the golf course. Please review the USGA Rules of Golf prior to play.
