Notice to Players
The rules of the United States Golf Association Govern Play: Complete text of Rules and Local Rules may be found in the Official Guide to the Rules of Golf, effective January 2024.
Format: 54 Holes of stroke play. MidMasters play the Gold Tees…Seniors and SuperSeniors play the White Boxed Tees.
NOTE: SuperSeniors are competing for both Senior And SuperSenior titles.
Scoring: Physical scorecards will be issued to each player. Scorecards must be signed, attested and returned to the scoring area (located in the Sun Room) immediately following conclusion of the round. Groups will also be given a GGID for scoring on the Golf Genius App.
Playoff: A sudden-death playoff for first place in each division will begin immediately following conclusion of play.
Penalty Areas: ALL Fescue areas (and such as defined by grass 6 inches or higher) are played as PENALTY AREAS…this includes the outer borders of the property…It is ALL played as a penalty area. The penalty area is defined where the shorter grass and higher grass meet.
NOTE: When playing hole #12, a ball crossing the road to the right of the hole is considered to have entered a red penalty area. The INSIDE (left) edge of the road designates the penalty area. All penalty drops must occur to the left of the road.
“2 and 2” Rule: Yes, it is in effect. Your ball MUST be sitting on the closely mown area only!
Out of Bounds: The parking lot between holes #17 and #18 is out of bounds and defined by the outer most edge of the pavement (unless white stakes are sighted, then use the white stakes to determine whether a ball is in or out of bounds). Also, the traffic circle near the Pro Shop is out of bounds as defined by the inside edge of the road.
Abnormal Course Conditions: Ground under repair is defined by white painted lines, or small white flags. French drains are considered ground under repair, relief is nearest point, within one club length.
NOTE: (A) The following is considered ground under repair, even though it is not marked as such: the practice chipping green between #1 and #8; the practice putting green behind #18; the practice chipping area behind #9 and to the left of #18. Free relief is MANDATORY under Rule 25-3.
Distance Measuring Devices: Yes, they are allowed. However, slope must not be used and is subject to disqualification.
Pace of Play: Time allowed to complete stipulated tournament round is 4 hours and 20 minutes.
One Ball Rule: Not in effect.
