Welcome to the 2024 Tuesday 9-Hole Men's League at Perham Lakeside!
The League format will remain consistent with the 2023 league format. Tuesday league rounds will be 9 holes, played at 5:00pm with a Shotgun Start. Two 9's will be utilized each week to send league play out on.
The year long league fee will be $60 and must be paid at the Pro Shop prior to your first week of play. The format, for those unfamiliar, is Match Play (1 vs 1). Players will be placed in Divisions (8 players maximum per Division) based on their GHIN handicap at the start of the year. All players must keep and maintain a GHIN handicap - scores will be posted weekly by the Pro Shop.
Non-Lakeside Members
Those that are not Lakeside Members are welcome to play! On top of their league fee, they will be responsible for a 9 hole greens fee of $25+tax and a cart fee of $9+tax if they choose to ride ($34+tax total riding).
Regular Season: May 28 - July 30
Match Play will consist of 1 vs 1 matches. Each match will be played off of the Low Handicap between the 2 players - for example, Player 1 has a playing handicap of 5 and Player 2 has a playing handicap of 8. Player 1 will be the 'Scratch' player in the match and will receive 0 strokes, whereas Player 2 will receive 3 strokes over the match on the hardest handicapped holes. Players will receive points each match they play: 1 point per hole won, .5 points per hole tied, and 0 points if they lost the hole. Points will be accumulated during the first 9 weeks of league play, and top performers in each Division will be paid out.
Pairings will be handled by the Pro Shop. Pairings will be a mix of matches played within different Divisions. Course rotation will not be considered: ie, you may play the same 9 a few weeks in a row.
There will be a $5 optional game, chosen by the pro shop weekly. It will be a mix of side games, for example: Low Net against your division, Net Skins game, etc. Payouts for the optional weekly game will be calculated and posted to the league portal the following day. All league winnings will be paid out in the form of Pro Shop credit. Winnings will be credited to your account within the Pro Shop.
Playoff Season: August 6 - August 20
Players are accumulating points, earned from holes won and tied during the first 8 weeks' worth of matches. Players will be seeded within their Division based on the amount of points they have accumulated. Divisions 1 - 6 will be played 'Straight Up (Gross)' where no players within the match will receive any strokes. Divisions 7 - 8 will be played off of the Low Handicap as was done during the Regular Season. Even if a player losses their first match, they will advance to a Consolation Bracket.
Season Kick Off: May 21st
The season will kick off with a 4-person Scramble on Tuesday, May 23rd so that everyone can perhaps shake off some rust coming out of the winter. This will be a required $5 game per player.

**PLEASE NOTE - we will take League off on July 4 to observe the holiday. You are more than welcome to make tee times for that day, however there will be no sanctioned league play due to a perceived lack of attendance.
