You should arrive at your assigned tee at least ten (10) minutes prior to your scheduled starting time for instructions from the starter.

TOURNAMENT DATE: Monday, June 24 – Thursday, June 27

CLUB ADDRESS: 3535 Forest Road, Lansing, MI 48910. 
 
PRACTICE ROUND:  Please contact the golf shop for rates and availability, (517) 355-1635.  Contestants must call in advance to reserve a tee time and identify themselves as Michigan Girls’ Junior Amateur contestants.  

GPS AND RANGE FINDERS: In this competition, if a player uses a distance-measuring device that is designed to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect his/her play, AND USES IT FOR THOSE OTHER CONDITIONS, the player is in breach of Rule 4-3, for which the penalty is the GENERAL PENALTY for the first breach of this rule and DISQUALIFICATION for a subsequent breach during the round.

GAM DRESS CODE:  Shirts with collars and sleeves are required; however, women may wear collarless shirts with sleeves or sleeveless shirts with collars.  Neither tank tops, tee shirts, short shorts, gym shorts, cut-offs, bathing suits nor denim pants/shorts are permitted.  Players and caddies are expected to adhere to the dress code.

 

LODGING: 46th MI Girls' Junior State Amateur (hyatt.com)

FOOD:  Lunch will be provided for all players on one of the first two days of the tournament. Additional food and snacks will be available for purchase at the grill area. 

CADDIES/CARTS:  All players are required to walk. Contestants must carry their own bag, caddies are not permitted.  Push carts may be used.  Spectator carts are only permitted if a request, accompanied by a doctor’s note confirming the spectator’s need for a cart.

PRACTICE RANGE:  Complimentary for players on the day of the competition, prior to play only. The Driving Range is located at Forest Akers GC - East Course. It is the responsibility of the player to transport themselves from the East Course/Driving Range to the West Course for their tee time.

PLAYOFF:  In case of ties, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff immediately following play for the final match play spot(s).  The low 16 players, as well as the low 8 players in the 15 & Under Division, will advance to Match Play.  

Note:  If a player qualifies and is unable to compete in the Match Play Championship, she must notify the Committee immediately so that the next eligible player may be included.

MATCH PLAY: General numerical USGA draw shall be used.  The round shall be extended to as many holes as required for a match to be won.

WITHDRAWAL:  If you have to withdraw before the entry deadline, please withdraw through the Golf Genius event portal. If you must withdraw after the entry deadline, please contact tournaments@gam.org. Please review the GAM Withdrawal/Refund Policy.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
Monday, June 24 – 1st Round of Stroke Play Qualifying.
Tuesday, June 25 – 2nd Round of Stroke Play Qualifying. 
Wednesday, June 26 – 1st & 2nd Rounds of Match Play. 
Thursday, June 27 – Semifinal and Final Matches.
