Forest Akers Golf Course (West) will host the Michigan Girls’ Junior State Amateur. Likely to reach its capacity quickly, players are encouraged to sign up early for the best Junior Girls competition in the state. Entry fee includes range balls each day and lunch following one of the stroke-play rounds.

 

New in 2024, the Overall Champion (Match Play) will receive an exemption into the 2024 U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur Championship. In order for a player to be eligible to receive the exemption they must have entered the 2024 U.S. Girls' Junior Amateur Championship by its entry deadline of May 15 at 5 p.m. EDT.

 

Who: Junior Girls age 18-and-Under, who are NOT full-time college students in the sole discretion of the GAM, and who meet the Golf Association of Michigan State Residency Criteria as of April 1, 2024. 

 

When: Monday, June 24, 2024 - Thursday, June 27, 2024

Format: 36-Holes of stroke play with the low 16 in the Overall Division advancing to match play.

The low 8 players in the 15 & Under Division from the 36-hole stroke play will advance to a separate match play bracket.             

Players 15-and-Under that would like to compete in the Overall Division must declare so prior to the tournament. The 15 & Under Division will play from a shorter yardage (approximately 5,200 yards).
