Championship Information
Format/Field Size: The competition will be 36 holes stroke play with Senior (50 and over) and Super Senior (60 and over) age categories.
Carts: Automotive transportation is permitted for players and caddies. Cart fees are included in the entry fee. A player and his caddie may ride in a golf card during a round, but both may not ride at the same time. Spectator Carts will not be permitted during this championship with the exception of a spectator who can provide an issued and active Handicap Permit.
Practice Rounds: Please contact the golf shop to schedule a practice round. Participants are allowed only one (1) practice round. This will be based on availability and limited to certain times and days. The rate will be a reciprocal fee of $50.
Tournament Yardages: The official tournament yardage will be updated several days before the event.
Estimated Yardage: 6,500-6,700 yards

Withdrawals/No Shows: Players who fail to appear for their assigned tee time without notifying the MSGA before or on the day of a tournament may not be allowed to participate in future MSGA events.
Players failing to appear will be listed as a ‘No Show’. If a player completes a round and does not turn their scorecard in, for whatever reason, will be listed as a ‘No Card’. Players not completing a round for obvious or verifiable reasons will not be considered as a withdraw (WD) but rather will be listed as a ‘Did Not Finish’.
Starting Times: Tournament Starting Times will be emailed approximately 7 days before the event. Times can also be found by visiting the 25th Maryland Senior Open Tournament Portal or www.msga.org.
Prizes: The Maryland State Golf Association will award a total of approximately $13,000.00 in prize money to the low scoring professionals in the Senior and Super Senior categories. Appropriate prizes will also be awarded to the low scoring amateurs in each category. In the event of a tie for the Championship, for low score in the Super Senior category, or for the low amateur in either category, a hole-by-hole play-off will follow immediately upon the conclusion of play. No player may win more than one cash or merchandise certificate prize.
Rules: USGA Rules govern all play. The player is responsible for being familiar with Local Rules and Conditions of Competition for MSGA Championships, which appears on www.msga.org.
Posting: The MSGA will post amateur's scores to GHIN as a tournament score.
