SITE DIRECTOR: Nebraska Junior Golf Staff
ELIGIBILITY: Players must be 14+ in age. Boys must have a current handicap index of 12.0 or lower to register. Girls must have a current handicap index of 22.0 or lower to register.
FIELD SIZE: There are 21 open spots available in each age division for this event through April 29th. Starting April 30th, the division limits will be dropped and it will be open registration until the overall field max is met.
DATE: Monday, June 10, 2024
REGISTRATION: Check in is available no more than 1 hour prior to your tee time. You must check in before your tee time.
PRACTICE AREAS: The practice facilities will be available before your tee time. Selling/price of range balls is at the course's discretion. You must check in before using the practice facilities.
CADDIES: All players must walk and carry their own bag or use a pull cart. Caddies are prohibited (spectators are allowed and encouraged).
RANGEFINDERS: The use of Distance Measuring Devices is permitted. (Rule 4.3)
GOLF BALLS: Only brands of golf balls on the most current USGA List of Conforming Golf Balls may be used.
STARTING TIMES: This event will have tee times starting at 10:00 am. Starting times can be obtained by clicking on the PAIRINGS tab on top of this page.
TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is prohibited during the round. Players shall walk at all times during the stipulated round unless otherwise specified by the Committee. Pull/push carts are permitted.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: Food and Beverage operations will be at the discretion of the host facility. Be prepared for "cash only" or "card only" payments.
AWARDS: An awards presentation will take place upon completion of play. The top three finishers in the overall Boys 14+ and overall Girls 14+ will receive recognition.
SEASON POINTS: 1-Day Summit Series events are worth 2x the points of regular tour events. Players will earn points on how they perform within their specific age division. Ex: A 15 year old girl who finishes 2nd in the overall event will be recognized as the overall runner up with an award but will earn season points based on how she competed within the Girls 14-15 division.
TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP INVITES: The overall Boys 14+ & Girls 14+ winner will receive an automatic bid into the NJG Tour Championship.
HOSTS: PGA Professional - Tom Johnson, PGA
SCORING: Individual Stroke Play within both the overall Boys/Girls 14+ division for awards and within each division to earn season points.
NGA POINT SYSTEM: This event will go towards the NGA Point Standing & Evaluation System. For more info, click HERE.
NOTAH BEGAY III QUALIFYING EVENT
As an extra benefit, this event will provide an opportunity to earn an exemption into the Notah Begay III (NB3) Kansas Regional tournament, played at Firekeeper Golf Club on June 26th – 27th in Mayetta, KS. Only players registered for this event are eligible to have their scores count toward the qualifier.
There is no additional fee to have your score count towards earning exemption for the Kansas Regional. Any player that earns exemption will be contacted by the NB3 staff to register for the Regional Tournament, and may choose to do so (or not) at that time. Please note that NB3 has their own eligibility policies and are solely responsible for handling the official invitations to their regional event.
