Camden Golf Club – Additional Local Rules


(To be read in conjunction with the JNJG & GNSW Local Rules Hard Card and the Rules of Golf as adopted by the R&A)
 

1. Out of Bounds

  1. Those areas beyond the course boundary fences.
  2. Those areas beyond any line of white stakes with black tops.
  3. Internal out of bounds hole 4. Any ball crossing the roadway at any point is out of bounds.

2. Integral Parts of the Course
All tracks, roads, pathways and mulched areas are integral parts of the course.

Exception (Relief): All areas defined by white stakes or lines, cultivated garden beds provided with constructed edges, formed concrete, bitumen and gravel paths as well as clearly defined wheel marks made by a vehicle (EXCEPT IN A PENALTY AREA.

3. Stake Trees
If a tree or shrub which is staked interferes with the player's stance or area of intended swing the player MUST take relief as provided in Rule 16.1.

LOCAL RULES

4. Sprinkler Head Relief Rule 16.1

The ball must lie in the general area (not in a penalty area. The obstruction (the sprinkler head) must be on or within two club lengths of the putting green. The immovable obstruction must be within two club lengths of the ball and the immovable obstruction must intervene on the line of play between the ball and the hole.

  1. Power Lines
    If a ball strikes a supporting tower or wires of a power line the player must disregard that stroke and play another ball as nearly as possible at the spot from which the original ball was last played in accordance with Rule 14.6.
  2. Stakes
    Stakes used to define the margin of or identify a penalty area are deemed to be immovable obstructions. Stakes identifying out of bounds are immovable obstructions.
    Stakes defining abnormal ground conditions and all directional signs are deemed to be movable obstructions.

OUT OF BOUNDS

The groundkeeper’s compound, clubhouse car park and those areas defined by blue markers are out of bounds. A ball coming to rest within an underpass on the course is out of bounds.

ALL FORMED ROADS AND PATHS TREATED AS OBSTRUCTIONS

All roads and paths on the course that are formed are to be treated as immovable obstructions from which relief is allowed under rule 16.1

IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS

All penalty area pegs and bricks, distance markers and control boxes are immovable obstructions. Sandstone rock walls on the 8th, 11th, 15th, 17th and 18th holes are integral parts of the course.

SPRINKLER HEADS

All fixed sprinkler heads are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be taken under Rule 16.1

SOCIAL 18TH GREEN

All Social play is to be the Social green (green on same side of the water as the tee box). Competition green (over the water) is Out of Bounds while playing Social.

LADIES/SOCIAL 18TH GREEN

When playing to the Ladies/Social 18th Green, the dam on the 18th hole is a red Penalty area.

  1. Scorecard Return and Tournament Office
    1. A player’s scorecard is deemed officially returned to the Tournament Committee when the player has left the tournament office. Once the player has left the tournament office, no changes may be made to the scorecard.
    2. Players MUST move straight from the 18th green to the tournament office to complete and sign their scorecards.

    2. In the case of a player being unable to gain assistance from one of the numbers above, the player may proceed in accordance with the procedure outlined in Rule 20.1c(3) of the Rules of Golf and nominate to play a second ball. The player must report the facts of the situation to the Committee before returning the scorecard, even if the player scores the same with both balls.
       
  3. Maximum Score Format of Play (Rules of Golf Rule 21.2)
    1. Maximum Score is a form of stroke play where a player’s score for a hole is capped a maximum number of strokes set by the committee. At JNJG Junior Masters Events, the maximum score for any hole is 10 strokes.
       
  4. Parents, Spectators and Bag Pusher Guidelines
    1. There are no caddies or bag pushers allowed at any JNJG Tour Event.
       
  5. Course Information
    1. Tee Markers
      1. White JNJG Tee Markers – all BOYS divisions
      2. Red JNJG Tee Markers – all GIRLS divisions
         
    2. Distance Markers
      1. 100m, 150m and 200m to the centre of the green

 

Make sure you keep up with the group in front, carry and use a sand bucket to replace divots, and fix all pitch marks on the greens. Let’s leave the course in the same condition as when we arrived!!
