Championship Information:
Format/Field Size: The format for this tournament is 36-holes of stroke play with no cut after the first day. The field will be limited to 84 contestants with 50 positions reserved for professionals and 34 positions reserved for amateurs, this includes senior professionals & amateurs.
Amateur entries will be collected and processed 3 weeks prior to the start of the championship. The amateur portion of the field will be filled with the lowest handicaps as of Friday, September 13. Any remaining players will be added to the waitlist. This process will be the same for the Senior Division. A minimum of six (6) players from either the Senior Amateur or Senior Professional categories will be necessary to form the Senior Division. The Senior Division will be limited to 24 players (14 positions will be reserved for professionals and 10 positions will be reserved for amateurs; if the professional spots are not filled, they will be filled with the remaining amateurs).
Tee Times: The MSGA will assign pairings and starting times. Starting times and pairings for round one will be available 5 days prior to the start of the event and will be sent to participants via email. Pairings for round two will be available by the same means after the completion of the first round. The Senior Division will tee off second in the first round and first in the second round.
Prizes:
Championship Division:
- The total purse for low professional scorers in the Championship will be up to $12,500, determined by the size of the field, and is not to exceed $12,500. The allocation of the purse will be based on the total number of professionals. Professionals without a Social Security Number (SSN) or Tax Identification Number (TIN) are not eligible to win prizes.
- Appropriate merchandise prizes will be awarded to the low amateur scorers. The allocations of the merchandise prizes will be based on the total number of amateurs in each category.
- The Overall Champion will be the lowest professional or amateur scorer in the Championship, and she will have her name engraved on the permanent trophy.
- The lowest amateur scorer from the in the Championship will have her name engraved on the Campbell Cup (Low Amateur Award).
- In the event of a tie for Overall Champion or low Amateur, a hole-by-hole playoff will follow immediately after the completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards for the amateurs, according to the USGA recommended method, and a split of the purse for the professionals.
Senior Division:
- The total purse for low professional scorers in the Senior Division will be determined by the number of professionals registered in the Senior Division. With 10 professionals, the purse would be $5,000.
- Appropriate merchandise prizes will be awarded to the low amateur scorers in the Senior Division. The allocations of the merchandise prizes will be based on the total number of amateurs in the Senior Division.
- In the event of a tie for Overall Senior Division, a hole-by-hole playoff will follow immediately after the completion of play. Ties for any other prizes will be resolved by a match of cards for the senior amateurs, according to the USGA recommended method, and a split of the purse for the senior professionals.
Rules: USGA Rules govern all play. Entries are subject to rejection by the MSGA or host club at any time, including during the competition. The reason for rejection may include unbecoming conduct, such as violation of host club policies, or failure to comply with the requirements of the handicap system. Practice Round Information:
Maryland/DC Residents - Practice rounds can be scheduled from now until Thursday, October 3.
Out of State Residents - Practice rounds can be scheduled ONLY on Friday, October 4.

Carts & Caddies: Players are welcome to walk and carry their bag, use a cart, and bring their own caddie for the event.
Spectators: Spectators are welcome and may walk the golf course. Spectators will not be permitted to utilize a cart, regardless of a medical necessity, unless approved by the Director of Rules & Competitions.
