Welcome back to all returning players and welcome aboard to those who are new to our League.  Our Valley Ridge Ladies League is run by a volunteer executive for the enjoyment and encouragement of Ladies golf. All fees collected for Ladies’ League are used to cover the costs of weekly prizes and the closing Tombstone Tournament meals and prizes.

 

All female Members of Valley Ridge, Principal and Spouses, are welcome and encouraged to join us. Non-VR members are also welcome, but some experience playing is required and a course handicap will need to be in place by May 31^st.  As we all know, Valley Ridge can be a very challenging course!

 

SEASON SCHEDULE:

• League Registration Opens – April 1, 2024 - 9:00 am
• Valley Ridge Welcome Event – April 24, 2024 4:00 pm   (followed by the VR Fashion Show – Pro Shop Event)
• Wednesday League Play  – May 1 – September 25, 2024
• Mystery Tour  – June 12, 2024
• Bring a Friend Event – June 26, 2024
• Ladies’ League Open Tournament – August 7, 2024
• Tombstone Closing Tournament – September 11, 2024

 

2024 WEDNESDAY LADIES’ LEAGUE FEES:

Weekly game prizes, Ringer Board, Birdie Tree, Par Cards and the Tombstone Closing Tournament are included in the league fees.

 

Members:  - $150.00                        Non Members:  - $225.00  (maximum 15)

 

Non-Member Green Fees:  includes pull cart, driving range balls & practice green

Option 1: Purchase 12 x 18 Hole Green Fees  - $800.00 plus GST.  Valid ONLY for Wednesday League Days. Best Value!

Option 2: Weekly Green Fee Rate - $75.00 plus GST

 

REGISTRATION THROUGH GOLF GENIUS:

All registration forms and fee payments will be completed through Golf Genius.  A link will be provided.  If you don’t already have it, you will need to download the Golf Genius app.

 

 

GOLF CANADA MEMBERSHIP REQUIRED:

Golf Canada fees for members are paid by Valley Ridge through our annual dues. Non-members may purchase a Golf Canada Membership when registering for the league or through the Golf Shop at a cost of $42.00 plus GST.

All League members are required to maintain a current Handicap through Golf Canada.  ALL of your rounds played ALL season long, at ANY course must be entered on a timely basis every time you play, to keep your handicap current. Scores for rounds played on Wednesdays will automatically be entered in the Golf Canada system through Golf Genius.  

 

19th HOLE TEE POT DRAW:

Test your luck with the 19th Hole 50/50 Tee Pot Draw.  If you choose to buy in, the upfront price is $100. We will draw a name weekly at the conclusion of each Wednesday League.  participate in both draws. Participants will not be required to be present and everyone will receive a weekly email confirming draw and league winnings. Please join us as all revenues go towards our prizing and tournaments!  Good luck!

 

RINGER BOARD / BIRDIE TREE / PAR CARDS:

Golf Genius keeps track of our season long statistics and prizes will be awarded at the end of the season.  The Ringer is a season long tabulation of your best score on each hole. Birdies are also tracked each Wednesday and a draw will be made for prizes from those who had Birdies throughout the year.   Par Cards are a new addition this year!  Each member will receive a par card at the start of the season.  The cards list each hole and the first time you par that hole, write down the date and have a playing partner attest.   When you fill the card and have made par on every hole, hand your card into the league President for a special prize!   Only one card will be given to each member to be kept until it is filled – it may take a number of years for some of us!

 

CHAMPS:

Please consider signing up for CHAMPS - Calgary Hospitality And Match Play Section.  It is a great opportunity to play at another course within Calgary or the surrounding area for FREE.  Two teams are required for each game and are split by handicaps so all levels can enjoy the game. 

IT’S FUN !:

We are a small but mighty league and the social part of golf is our favourite!  Most league members will gather in the clubhouse for lunch and drinks following their round, and will be encouraged to stay for results presentations.  Come join us!  Cheers!
