Tournament Office

 

The Tournament Office at the Under 12 Tour Par 3 Championship Event will be just outside the Pro Shop. All players must register in the tournament office prior to their round, as well as return scorecards after their round.

 

 

Practice Facilities

 

Sefton Golf Club has warm up nets and a practice putting green located right next to the clubhouse. There is no on site driving range.

 

Local Rules 

 

Local Rules:

(to be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf). Council Notices should be read in conjunction with local rules

1. Out Of Bounds (Rule 27.1)

a. The club house and surrounds, practice facilities and the BBQ seating pavilion are to be treated as out of bounds.

b.

All grounds beyond perimeter fences.

2. Ground Under Repair (Rule 25)

  1. Those areas the margins of which are defined by white stakes or lines.
    Stakes defining GUR are Immovable
    Obstructions provided the ball is not within the GUR.
  2. Except in a hazard, clearly defined wheel marks and/or ruts made by a mower, tractor or vehicle.
  3. Sand filled divots and unfilled divots are not classified as GUR.

3. Water Hazards (Rule 26)

a. Lateral Water Hazards are defined by red stakes and/or lines. The stakes defining the hazard are Immovable Obstructions provided the ball is not within the hazard.

4. Immovable Obstructions (Rule 24.2)

a.

Artificially surfaced roads and paths (including gravel) are Immovable

Obstructions. All other tracks and paths that are not predominantly surfaced are integral parts of the course from which the ball must be played as it lies or declared unplayable (Rule 28).

b. All protective wire screens, fences, guidelines, posts, seats, fixed bins and sand boxes are Immovable

Obstructions. The player may only take relief when the obstruction interferes with the stance or area of intended swing. Intervention on the line of play is not interference under this Rule.

Penalty for Breach of Local Rule

Match Play - loss of hole, Stroke Play - two strokes.

Care of the Course

All players are required to carry and use sand buckets. Repair all divots. Repair all pitch marks on the greens. Enter bunkers from the lower side and rake after playing. To ensure a good pace of play, please keep up with the group in front.
