Maximum Score/Handicaps: Members must have an established HC Index that computes to 54 or less at CommonGround GC. Any new member without a HC must play and post 54 holes (e.g. 3 18-hole/6 9-hole rounds) to obtain a HC of 54 or less to be eligible to win any payouts in the weekly tournaments. All players with a HC between 43 and 54 will be assigned to a max adjusted HC of 42 for tournament playday calculations. As of January 1, 2020, the World Handicap System (WHS) has been implemented. There is no longer an ESC.
Maximum score to post per hole per WHS is calculated as:
Par + 2 + handicap strokes received
When the format of play allows, players are encouraged to pick up at their maximum hole score to keep up a good pace. For competitions, the adjustment is applied during the round hole by hole. The exception is during Club Championship days. Players must hole out their ball on all holes on both Club Championship days to be eligible to place.
