Long-time WDCGA member Carol Davies (Argyle CC) had two things in mind in sponsoring the Ice Breaker Tournament. She wanted to honor her mother, Nancy Davies, a devoted District golfer until her death in 2011. Nancy had a hole-in-one at age 88!! She also wanted to offer an innovative alternative to our traditional weekday play. Thus, the Nancy Davies Memorial Ice Breaker – our first ever weekend tournament. Carol believes that creativity and innovation will sustain the District long into the future — a great idea to keep the WDCGA great!
