Format:

• Format: 4-Man Team Shamble ABCD teams, randomized by Golf Genius. 
• Each player will tee off, and the best drive is selected.
• All players will play their own ball from that selected point.  All players, including the player whose drive was chosen, may lift, clean, and place their ball behind the selected point within one club length, not nearer the hole.  The placed balls must remain in the same condition as the selected drive.  For example, if the chosen drive is in the first cut, all balls must be placed in the first cut.   If the selected drive was in a Bunker or Penalty Area, all balls must be placed within the same Bunker or Penalty Area.  
• All shots subsequent to the drive will be played in accordance with the Big Canoe Preferred Lie Rule, which takes effect on 11/1. 
• The team score for each hole will be the sum of the two best net scores.
• Each player will receive 50% of the normal course handicap.  
• Each player's drive will need to be used three times during the 18-hole event.
• There will be no maximum score.
• Courses are Creek/Cherokee    
• Online mobile scoring will be required from one member in each foursome.  Another player will keep a paper scorecard.  Teams are responsible for verifying the two scores agree before signing and handing in the card.
• Play will be from any tee chosen by the player at signup.   Tee selections will be Black, Blue, Blue/White, White, White/Gold, and Gold.   Consider your choice carefully, as there will be NO tee changes once signup closes. 
• As a four-person team event, late entrants may find themselves on the waitlist until a multiple of four is reached to form another team.

• Flights and Divisions: all ties will be resolved using the USGA 9/6/3/1 methodology.  The winner of a tie (or ties) will be the player or team with the best score for the back 9 holes (irrespective of starting hole), and if not resolved, the last 6, last 3, and last hole in that order.  If a tie is not resolved on the back 9, the same process will be used for the front nine.  If there is no winner at this point, the tie will be resolved by chip-off as described below.   

Prizes/Payouts:

This event is non-flighted.   The number of places paid will be determined by the number of total teams, with the payout approximating 40% of the field.  Payouts will be in Big Canoe Bucks.  

Proximity:

• Closest to the pin awards on all par 3 holes, both days.
• Each winner receives $50 per CTP, payable in Big Canoe Bucks.

Entry Fee: $TBD

The Entry Fee listed includes all tournament and F&B functions (if included) but does not include golf and cart fees.  Those will be calculated and billed by the pro shop based on your individual status as an amenity member. 

Score Posting:

The round will not be posted.  

Big Canoe Cup Points:

20 points for all participants plus performance points equal to one point per Big Canoe Buck won, not including CTP awards.  These points will accrue toward the 2025 MGA Big Canoe Cup. 

Local Rules: 

Local Rules in effect on the day of the tournament will be covered at teeoff by the professional staff. 

Late Withdrawals:

As this is an ABCD event along with breakfast, and cancellations will impact entire teams along with F&B guarantees, we ask that you cancel your registration before signups close if you are in doubt at all about playing.  After signups close, you will be subject to payment of the full amount of the tournament charge.
