Schedule:

• Pairings Dinner:  Wednesday, October 16th, 6 p.m. at the beach club.  Pizza, Wings, and a Keg will kick off the evening.  Captains will then select pairings for Friday and Saturday matches during this event. 
• Friday - Tee times begin at 8:30.  Team captains will assign tee times during the Pairings Dinner.
• Saturday - Tee times begin at 8:30.  Tee times will be assigned by team captains during the Pairings Dinner.

Players:

• The field will include the players with the top 28 BCC point totals plus four alternates.   Players must also have played in at least four MGA events to qualify.  Players must also be available on both days of the event to participate.  
• Official invitations will be sent to qualifying players approximately 30 days before the event.   In the event of declinations, alternates will be promoted, and their spots will be filled in succession until the field is full.  Once the field is full and registration is complete, cancelations will be replaced from the final four alternates.
• Any alternate not promoted to the field will participate in all respects, including play; however, their scores will not count toward team totals.   
• Current point standings are available on the MGA website in the pulldown menu.  There is also a detailed explanation of the BCC points calculation available.
• Courses are Creek/Cherokee    
• Play will be from any tee chosen by the player at signup.   Tee selections will be Black, Blue, Blue/White, White, White/Gold, and Gold. 

Captains: The top two point earners for the year are designated as the captains of their respective teams, Creek (top) and Choctaw (second), and will meet as soon as the roster is filled to select the players for their team alternately.  The captain with the most points will pick first, and selections will alternate.

Format:

• Friday a.m. Matches (9 Holes)
  • Two-man Team Scramble:  Each player will hit a shot.  The team will select the best shot.   This is repeated until the ball is holed.  
  • The preferred lie rule will be in effect for both players for all areas of the course.  
  • Handicaps: 35% of the low index plus 15% of the high index.  
• Friday p.m. Matches (9 Holes),
  • Two-man Team Alternate Shot - Each team decides which player tees off on the even holes and which player tees off on the odd holes.  The two players will alternate shots on each hole until the ball is holed.
  • Handicaps:  50% of the combined team index. 
• Saturday a.m. Matches (9 Holes)
  • Team Best Ball:  A match in which two players play their better ball against the better ball of two opposing players.
  • Handicaps: An allowance of 85% will be applied to each player's index.  
• Saturday p.m. Matches (9 Holes)
  • Singles: A match in which one player plays against another player from the opposing team.
  • Handicaps: An allowance of 95% will be applied to each player's index.
• Pairings will not change for the morning and afternoon rounds; however, they may vary from Friday to Saturday.
• All cards will be dotted off the low playing handicap for the match. 
• There will be no maximum score.
• Mobile scoring will be in use.

Food & Beverage:

• Food TBD for pairings dinner.  Keg beer will also be provided.  
• Box lunches will be provided each day between rounds.   Beer after play each day.

Each player on the winning team will also receive a Champions prize.  

Entry Fee: $0

The Entry Fee listed includes all tournament and F&B functions but does not include golf and cart fees.  The pro shop will calculate and bill those based on your status as an amenity member.

Big Canoe Local Rules are in effect on the days of the tournament.   A daily handout in the cart will cover the format and local rules.
