Scoring: Sue Norton      snorton925@yahoo.com

Individual play: Full Handicap handicap (maximum 45).

Each player will mark the ball she starts with in a distinctive manner.  This ball must be used during the entire round.  If you lose the ball, mark on the scorecard which hole the ball was lost, and on which shot (for example, 14th hole, 2nd shot).  The ball is considered lost only if it cannot be found or retrieved.  If it is found or retrieved, play can be continued with it, using the rules of golf for counting strokes.  You may hit a provisional ball if the ball you started with may be lost or out of bounds.  If it is out of bounds but retrievable, replace the provisional with the ball you started with, taking the penalty strokes as they apply.  Post gross score on tournament card and deduct handicap for net score.  If you have lost the ball prior to the completion of the round, enter the hole and which shot ball was lost, as  indicated above.

Prizes awarded to the six lowest net scores that complete the round with the same starting ball.  If fewer than six players achieve this, the remaining prize(s) will be awarded to those who completed the most holes.

RED, WHITE & BLUE SCRAMBLE July 3, 4, 5, 6, 7

Golf Genius Pairer:    Sue Norton snorton925@yahoo.com

Scoring:    Sue Norton        snorton925@yahoo.com

This is a team event with foursomes or threesomes. On the first hole the team plays from the red tees (they’re actually green!), on the second hole from the white tees, on the third hole from the blue tees. Continue alternating tees red, white and blue throughout the round. If we have a Closet to the Pin we we use the green/Red tees.

Each player hits a drive and the team selects the best drive and marks it. The player whose shot is selected as the best then “steps aside”, and cannot hit the next shot. The other players then hit their second shots from this position. Select the best second shot and mark it. Again, the player whose shot is selected then “steps aside” and cannot hit the next shot. Continue in this way until the ball is holed out. There is only one score for the foursome. If a team is a threesome, there is no ‘step aside’ required – any player may hit the next shot. There is no minimum number of drives required for each player.  In the event that teams cannot be equalized by handicap, a team handicap may be applied as shown on page 10.  Prizes will be given to the two lowest scoring teams.

Golf Genius Pairer:  Sue Norton snorton925@yahoo.com

Scoring: Sue Norton snorton925@yahoo.com

The Club Championship is two days of stroke play for all flights. The championship will be played on Wednesday, August 7 and Wednesday, August 14, with the following Wednesday reserved for a rain date.

This will be a gross only tournament, and prizes will be given to: Club Champion (the player with the lowest score for the tournament, regardless of flight), “A” flight winner, “B” flight winner, “C” flight winner and “D” flight winner.”  In case of ties, players will continue to play in “sudden death” format until a winner is determined.

Flights are based on course handicaps as follows:

A Flight:   0-18                    B Flight:   19-24

C Flight:   25-30                  D Flight:   31 and higher

There must be a minimum of two players in each flight. Determination of flights may need to be adjusted based on the number of participants and heir handicaps within each group.  Handicaps for purposes of flight determination will be as of the first day of the tournament, August 7.

The Tournament Committee Chairperson will make the pairings for all

players for the first round according to handicap within flights. The final

round of pairings will be based on standings.

In order to be eligible to compete in the Club Championship, each player must have submitted five scores from tournament play at Oak Hills. SCWGA and SNEWGA tournaments do not count toward the five required scores. President cup matches will count toward the five scores only if played on a separate day, and not concurrent with another tournament.

A player may not withdraw in the middle of a club championship round without good cause. When you sign up to play you must commit to the two-day tournament and the rain date. Any player who withdraws without good cause will be disqualified from competing in the Club Championship the following year.

In the event of rain, the tournament chairperson will make the decision to reschedule to the designated rain date, and will notify all participants.

Team event with foursomes or threesomes.  Full handicap (maximum 45).

A “shamble” is a format that mixes elements of a scramble with individual stroke play,

Each member of the team tees off on each hole, and then selects the best drive.  Each player then plays her own ball, as an individual, from that position until it is holed out.   Each player receives strokes on certain holes in accordance with her handicap.  (Stroked scorecards will be provided). Deduct handicap strokes from gross score to determine net score.  The two best net scores of the team will count on each hole as the team score.

Prizes will be awarded to the two total lowest net teams.  You may not post a handicap score on GHIN for this tournament.

Scoring: Sue Norton     snorton925@yahoo.com

Individual play: Full handicap (maximum 45).

This is an individual stroke play tournament with a twist.  Each player plays her own ball.  But after she hits, if she doesn’t like the result of her shot, she may move it to the same location as the shot of one of her playing competitors by declaring “Me Too”!  Moving the ball to the new location does not count as a stroke (although the original shot does),  She then proceeds to complete the hole, recording her gross score, and marking that “Me Too: was used on that hole.  The “Me Too” option can be used only 3 times, on 3 separate holes, during the round.  You may not post a handicap score to GHIN for this tournament.

Prizes awarded:1st and 2nd Gross, 1st through 4th Net.
